Great show today! Was expecting a Fox River show with all the steam coming from that river the last couple weeks. Nice surprise to see a little more hardwater action!

Great video James I use that technique for walleyes on the bay and fox river ice fishing and in open water. And it is fun doing it that way.

I use the same when fishing pike in shallow mud flats. The minnow close to the bottom kicks up the silt and calls pike in.

I’ve been fishing the bay lately for whitefish and walleye but I can’t get any of the fish to bite. What do you suggest I change up?

Going to try this. Where do you get your maps for spot on the spot. Do you know if there are maps like yours for lakes here in Saskatchewan? What do they cost? Thanks for the new info.

Technique and presentation makes sense. Seen some YTube video last year where it had underwater Ice Fishing footage where the Walleye's were preferring a dead minnow laying(not rigged) on the bottom versus the person's jig/minnow just laying on the bottom. Although, eventually the person started catching more walleye's presenting his bait in this fashion after noticing the walleye's feeding behavior from their camera footage. I'd call your technique, "Drop Shotting for Walleye's" under your I-Fishpro's. So thinking about it, was it really that bizarre how you were catching those Walleye's? Not much different I would say in regards to a jig/minnow presentation. I would agree the presentation you used on your poles to trigger bites related to them feeding on Goby's if that's why the Walleye's were staging up in the shallow's. I would imagine there's other feed also they could be feeding off the bottom as well. God Bless the In-Fisherman, best source of knowledge and information there ever was and still is for any Angler, PERIOD.

James what do you use to attach your real to your custom rod? I got my first one this year and I used electrical tape but I was wondering if there’s something better? Thanks

James just uses electrical tape as well.

a lot of great female fish that will represent the future of our fishing....the females are the most important ones to release.

Maybe more important is for anglers to stop at their daily limit and even more importantly their possession limit.

DWS Outdoors We were fishing a tuned up custom Dead stick which has a soft tip but a lot more backbone than a bullwhip.
@DWSOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
The Dead stick would defiantly be my first choice if I had one for sure but I found my Bullwhip tends to be a great substitute for keeping big fish pinned! I would say any Tuned up rod has great versatility even having specifically been tuned for one use! :)
