I have a KZbin Beauty channel for 10yrs and I recently had a new baby. So I was sharing my NEW MUM vlogs but I have always hesitated to vlog about my baby. But seeing everyone freely showing their baby and being asked to make vlogs about my baby, I felt like I would be missing out if I didn’t share too. Even though I was carefully and selectively posting, I always didn’t feel right when posting. So it has been 2 months, I haven’t made any vlogs with my baby and I wont be doing much. I will happily make videos of myself and my life journey and I will try my best to show very little of my baby. Some of us are just unaware of the dangers of posting online. This is something I have always tried to explain to people and am extremely glad that someone with a platform has actually brought this up. It's extremely sad to see people exploiting their children on social media knowingly or unknowingly. What's even more devastating is that even educated and knowledgeable people are falling for this. really, like you, I also used to wonder about these thoughts. I had also requested my parents and relatives long ago not to have a video or anything of them on social media as it might be dangerous but nobody gave attention. I had seen a lot of parents including my some relative(hopefully my parents don't know much about social media) going all the way in uploading their kids videos.
