I hope for the pixel 5 Google actually invests in a better updated camera sensors. Software is incredible but that's what hurts their video quality. Software can work magic on a single shot but no chance in hell to work on a video. Better sensors and keep that software magic...nothing would even come close to the Pixel line after that in terms of photography and videography.

Umm their video quality is one of the best. Like camera stills each camera handles colors different. Audio actually sounds better on pixel 4xl. I just brought the iPhone pro Max yesterday and 4xl on the way. Played with both in store over a hour.

amazing comparison!! I also use a 3rd party lens, bc-master 120° wide angle for the wide angle shots , the lens can go over the main camera , so that's a plus! the lens was only $20 too! keep up the great videos!!

Good video showing the differences between the 2 phones. Pixel definately does bette in most shots. I've got an off topic question. How's the the pixel 4 vs the iPhone in terms of audio quality while using headphones? I mean when listening to music using headphones, I had the iPhone xs and the pixel 3 and I noticed that the DAC on the iPhone was superior to the pixel. Better and richer sound while using headphones. Can you comment on this topic? Sorry that it's off topic!

Artificial sharpening doesn’t give the pixel more detail. It’s more “smoother”, but that sharpening doesn’t give you more detail. The iPhone isn’t afraid to show noise. Textures are better on the iPhone.

This actually the most honest review i have seen. I still think to this day, the pixel 4 camera is the the one to beat. Dont get me wrong i still think the iphone 11 pro max is one of the best for taking still images, but what it lacks is consistency. Pixel 4 is more consistent. In video, yes iphone is way better

This is exactly my experience with both phones, always take pixel 4xl with me when I know I need to take photos as I feel iPhone 11 Pro Max just does not cut it in less than perfect lighting.. the portrait photos are so much better on the pixel it’s not even a contest.. I’m not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they make it out like these two can really trade blows and it’s a matter of taste.. hands down pixel is better in every aspect.. even the video in medium light is not so grainy as on the iPhone.. but yeh iPhone can do 60fps 4K, I guess no one really cares about the grain and the actual quality

I've got a pixel 3a XL and I freaking love it. Although I would like more, I'm wondering to get the pixel 4 XL just because I really do use the phone heavy so I see an occasional stutter on the SD 670 here and I do tend to use the zoom feature. I cannot understand how google manages to do it. They have way more contrast in the photos but then if need high dynamic range2 its also there. iPhone photos looked very flat. In palm tree the shadow of one leaf was clearly beautifully portrayed by pixel with contrast but in iPhone it looked like light was facing the tree. So unnatural.

The Pixel 4 still seems to have a decent camera, but that's the case because they had a great camera already at least 4 years ago! I have seen multiple reviews where the Pixel 4 had a worse white balance and worse shadows than the Pixel 2 or Pixel 3. They even removed the white balance presets.

Pixels always have bugs / incomplete software on release in some areas only but all that is fixed after 2-3 month of software updates and then it goes to a whole new level of awesomeness. This exact same thing happened with my pixel 3xl when it comes to video mic quality, improvement in night sight and some improvements in ram management as well. Btw, the ram management issue has plagued the iPhone this year as well and got fixed with an update, same story, but no one criticized apple the same way they did with the Pixel.... Mainstream reviewers are biased af. This guy is great, just listen to him!
