Indesign CC Epub How To Create An Interactive Quiz

Aside from multiple choice responses., does InDesign allow students to respond to other types of questions: short answers and extended answers? In other words does the interactivity support typing and saving of typed information?

Not straight from Epub. But you need to remember they Epubs are just HTML 5 files which means you can further configure them adding some JS and you can take it to the next level. 😀

Since this is an EPUB which is entirely an HTML file, after exporting it, unzip it and you will see all the folders. Target the one you need, insert the script like a normal HTML file with a script attached to it, pack it again as an EPUB and you are good to go. Hope this helps. 😀 👋

Is it possible to make a multiple choice test where I could verify the answers at the end of the test, and gave me a record?

I don't think you can right of the bat. When you export your document as Epub, that is entirely an HTML file for you to desect if you wish. Once you do that, you can insert your own code and package it again. It can be done but I would call that a stretch 😀. In the past I have actually played around with certain custom settings and it can be fun. Hope this helps. Thank you. 😀 👋

This will not work as an interactive PDF rather than an Epub. 😀

If you export this as an EPUB it will work but the user also needs to have an EPUB reader. Apple is the very best on that with Books app. Hope that helps. 😀 👋

You export that as an EPUB which keeps all the interactive capabilities. You also need a good EPUB reader, I know for sure Apple uses Books app for that and it is outstanding, some others include, Calibre, Kobo, Nook, etc. You can run this file offline of course because its a bundle, the EPUB will contain all functionalities once exported. Hoe this helps. 😃

Hi there Mindaugas! I tested and I tested it and I can see there is an issue but not on my end. For some reason downloading files from Chrome is not working, maybe they will fix that. I added the files up on the KZbin Card and if you watch the tutorial on Firefox you WILL be able to get those files. Let me know if you please. Thank you! 😀
