@@terrylnwoods No I don't believe so as that is more typical when descending straight down flat, rather than nose down in a dive. Also the flight controllers used in quad like in the linked video have very limited abilities and brushed geared motors which struggle to control the prop. Those setups aren't designed around fast prop speed changes.

There are so many quads that can be good or solid first quad, I would put this in that category. I suspect if the product page is showing antenna polarization its the analog version. "You're in control of what you see" Great. We love to hear about the little bits of your life you like to include! Did the quad come with a custom pid tune or defaults? Foxeer is new to the BNF game, I believe they only have one other offering, a 5 inch racer, the Caesar, it only had a default tune and didn't fly well at all, oscillations in the motors and they had a trilling sound when you hit the throttle. I had one of the first blind and flies before they even had boxes for them they just sent it to me in a blank cardboard box. You said you tried adjusting the idle speed, was there an improvement? Did it get to the point where it was too floaty feeling? I really like this quad but that flutter scares me. I wonder what the blackbox looks like. Amazing video as always Nick! Don't worry about the naysayers, share whatever you want to share, the NB squad will eat it up and watch till the end !

I do like to share bits of things that are running through my mind while we are watching flights. For me keeps it from being such a dry "all about the quad" video. The quad did come with a custom pid tune. I turned up idle to 7, didn't notice much change if any. I also enabled digital idle and set that to 3000, or the recommended value then increased that some, again not much difference if any. I didn't get to the point it was feeling floaty. maybe needed to keep increasing idle values up.

@GoatZilla2 жыл бұрын
It's really hard to see which mount patterns this frame supports. You can fit stuff in there somehow, but some of it is attached to the carbon upper, some of it is attached to the plastic ducts, some of it might be attached to the carbon bottom. And the manufacturer's product page is characteristically ... light on details. One of the bigger issues is I fly with a Diamond VTX. Even if I could bury the VTX in the internal space (big if), the ducts will block the SD card and button access, if they don't already crowd the VTX in the first place.
@NickBurnsFPV2 жыл бұрын
The AIO/FC is attached to the carbon. The vista is mounted to the lower carbon plate then secured to the plastic ducts. If the diamond is secure to the AIO and the sd slot is positioned to the right or left there is a gap between the upper carbon frame and the duct framing which could allow access to the sd card slot.

@NickBurnsFPV2 жыл бұрын
I suggest staying away from frsky, expresslrs is the go to for many as the hardware is less expensive, and the performance/feature set outstanding. The downside to expresslrs is the firmeware flashing. Many just don't like it. If you don't feel comfortable learning to firmware flash, unfortunately this eliminates the good rx protocols and we are back to frsky, flysky and dmsx
@SmallScaleSteam2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Is there anyway that I could get hold of your Betaflight "Diff" file for this quad ? I have just purchased one (Analog video with the R-XSR receiver option) and the factory loaded Betaflight settings are totally wrong; even the UART setting for the supplied receiver was incorrectly allocated so nothing worked. Although I now have Betaflight showing "movement" on the Receiver page (I had to select UART 4 to match where the Rx SBUS wire was connected by the factory to flight control board pin "Rx4") the quad is still "dead" so I assume that other settings may also be incorrect.

@@NickBurnsFPV I really miss that series... And the ET Max, which was a 4", would be fantastic! 😂

The ET-125 was one of my first quads, third I think after a whoop and an E-Flite thing that I only put a few packs through. I eventually beat the crap out of it and have never completed the rebuild even though I look at it occasionally.
@MCsCreations2 жыл бұрын
@@wingsounds13 The issue of those models is that they used boards in different sizes from the standard 25x25mm... So it's pretty difficult to rebuild them without an identical board. 😕

I think I would like one of these. Need to check for reviews to compare it to the Cinelog25. The home project is coming along nicely and is going to look amazing when complete.
@NickBurnsFPV2 жыл бұрын
doesn't fly as well as the cinelog25, but the prop protection is much more durable.

What is the correct method to bind my Dji v2 goggles to my 25 ? Yes it’s got vista and elrs thanks nice review buddy !!

Are those the new slim dji googles? If so, they won’t…at this time until or if dji updates the software

@@NickBurnsFPV they are the same ones you used and I have a Foxeer Foxwhoop 25 ..
@NickBurnsFPV2 жыл бұрын
@@BIRDDOGFPV If they look the same the binding would be the same. It should be covered in the manual for the goggles. Press the button on the vista after power up and press the red button on the goggles. The goggles will beep for a bit then stop.

Seen the frame and I was wandering if the prop guard part can be used as a standalone whoop like frame?
@NickBurnsFPV2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried it. Might take a bit of diy and very light building, as the carbon provides arm stiffness

Wow. 45 amps for a 2.5 inch? 1404 motors for a 2.5 inch? My only 2.5 inch is a TH Freestyle with 1103 motors and 5a ESCs. This one should last a long white.

Quick question, did you do the freestyle flight before or after the durability test? Great review though. I was laughing at the crashes. That was funny.

Durability testing was last thing. I have it setup to fly again with the runcam thumb pro. See how much of an impact actually had

@@NickBurnsFPV I think I’m going to order that RunCam this week. I need to be able to get good footage of my flights. I hate uploading videos with all the analog breakup in the footage. But I’m not going to fork out $400 for a GoPro either. Can’t wait to see your results. I hope you show us. That looks like a fun little whoop.

@@NickBurnsFPV that was the video that made my decision up. I like what it has to offer at such a cheap price. I’m starving myself so I can fly🤣 Well worth the trade off. Thanks for all your info and content. Really do appreciate it. 🙏
