25 recorded crashes make it indestructible? Sure makes it very hardy. 🤣 Seems the one item these current line of cinewhoops is missing is camera protection.📸 Foxeer - bit.ly/3o6i1hB Banggood - bit.ly/3PJnDua DefinanceRC - bit.ly/3PofYSb AliExpress - bit.ly/3cxfhaI Frame RaceDayQuads - bit.ly/3oh3uzD NewBeeDrone - bit.ly/3RFmipN PyroDrone - bit.ly/3Okpx39 Foxeer - bit.ly/3OjNxn8

Hi Nick, great video as always! In previous videos you have mentioned loss of control due to "yaw wash". Do you think that you may have been experiencing 'Vortex Ring State' or VRS? @@terrylnwoods No I don't believe so as that is more typical when descending straight down flat, rather than nose down in a dive. Also the flight controllers used in quad like in the linked video have very limited abilities and brushed geared motors which struggle to control the prop. Those setups aren't designed around fast prop speed changes.

Great job, Nick. Tough little quad and I quite enjoyed your dogged determination to test the “unbreakable”claim. As for the content within your content, you could record yourself digging a hole in the sand at high tide and I’d still watch till the end. Thanks for sharing excerpts from your life and backyard projects. Hope to see the neighbor and his train one day. Thank you again for any help.
@NickBurnsFPV

There are so many quads that can be good or solid first quad, I would put this in that category. I suspect if the product page is showing antenna polarization its the analog version. I think you want to be sure your selecting the dji/vista/link version and normally those don't come with a polarization option as the airunit/vista/link come standard lhcp.

"You're in control of what you see" Great. We love to hear about the little bits of your life you like to include! Did the quad come with a custom pid tune or defaults? Foxeer is new to the BNF game, I believe they only have one other offering, a 5 inch racer, the Caesar, it only had a default tune and didn't fly well at all, oscillations in the motors and they had a trilling sound when you hit the throttle. I had one of the first blind and flies before they even had boxes for them they just sent it to me in a blank cardboard box. You said you tried adjusting the idle speed, was there an improvement? Did it get to the point where it was too floaty feeling? I really like this quad but that flutter scares me. I wonder what the blackbox looks like. Amazing video as always Nick! Don't worry about the naysayers, share whatever you want to share, the NB squad will eat it up and watch till the end !

I do like to share bits of things that are running through my mind while we are watching flights. For me keeps it from being such a dry "all about the quad" video. The quad did come with a custom pid tune. I turned up idle to 7, didn't notice much change if any. I also enabled digital idle and set that to 3000, or the recommended value then increased that some, again not much difference if any. I didn't get to the point it was feeling floaty. maybe needed to keep increasing idle values up.

@GoatZilla
@GoatZilla 2 жыл бұрын
It's really hard to see which mount patterns this frame supports. You can fit stuff in there somehow, but some of it is attached to the carbon upper, some of it is attached to the plastic ducts, some of it might be attached to the carbon bottom. And the manufacturer's product page is characteristically ... light on details. One of the bigger issues is I fly with a Diamond VTX. Even if I could bury the VTX in the internal space (big if), the ducts will block the SD card and button access, if they don't already crowd the VTX in the first place.
@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV 2 жыл бұрын
The AIO/FC is attached to the carbon. The vista is mounted to the lower carbon plate then secured to the plastic ducts. If the diamond is secure to the AIO and the sd slot is positioned to the right or left there is a gap between the upper carbon frame and the duct framing which could allow access to the sd card slot.

@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV 2 жыл бұрын
I suggest staying away from frsky, expresslrs is the go to for many as the hardware is less expensive, and the performance/feature set outstanding. The downside to expresslrs is the firmeware flashing. Many just don't like it. If you don't feel comfortable learning to firmware flash, unfortunately this eliminates the good rx protocols and we are back to frsky, flysky and dmsx

Hi. Is there anyway that I could get hold of your Betaflight "Diff" file for this quad ? I have just purchased one (Analog video with the R-XSR receiver option) and the factory loaded Betaflight settings are totally wrong; even the UART setting for the supplied receiver was incorrectly allocated so nothing worked. Although I now have Betaflight showing "movement" on the Receiver page (I had to select UART 4 to match where the Rx SBUS wire was connected by the factory to flight control board pin "Rx4") the quad is still "dead" so I assume that other settings may also be incorrect.

Hi Nick Great video and review of the unbreakable Foxeer foxwhoop 25, I can't wait until I get to try to break it. As I have mentioned that HGLRC Racewhoop you had ran into a tree over and over for two days and I purchased it, but mine lasted one day before I started breaking the whoops. I have a fun place I like to fly but it eats quads up. Yeah your backyard is looking great and I can't wait for the opening pool party. I'm wondering how many hits will it take to go through the cover ? The only thing I don't like about a inverted motor frame is that it doesn't like taking off on the grass. Other than that I think it would be a nice quad to fly. Thanks again for the video and information.

I know this poast is older and you may never see this but what was your binding procedure for the Vista? Did you have to disassemble for access to the Vista? I'm kind of intimidated by how compact it is.

Hi Nick , always a pleasure. What do you think between this and the Protek 25 having the props facing up? Was it durable enough the iflight?.

I don’t expect the propel to be able to take that sort of abuse. Nor does it have a frame warranty at all. For flat smooth flight I felt the foxwhoop was slight more stable and efficient

@@NickBurnsFPV Sorry, it been 8 months. I used to fly mobula7, 2.5" 3" and 5" fpv drone and recently built my first cinewhoop style (betafpv 95x v3 frame), and the high-pitched noise really freaked me out. Tested with many props and PID tune, still very loud. Is that all cinewhoop type of drone are overly loud ? any good 2.5 inch silent whoop frame?

The ET-125 was one of my first quads, third I think after a whoop and an E-Flite thing that I only put a few packs through. I eventually beat the crap out of it and have never completed the rebuild even though I look at it occasionally.
