With India now the world's most populous nation, providing enough jobs for young people represents a major challenge. Since contracts in the private sector do not offer job stability, millions of young Indians are vying for government jobs like those for soldiers, station masters or teachers. Although salaries are modest, these positions provide a job for life with some added benefits. These public sector jobs are accessible thanks to a yearly exam, but competition is fierce. This in turn has created a flourishing industry of coaching centres, particularly in the eastern state of Bihar. FRANCE 24’s Sadia Rao and Alban Alvarez report.

Over 94 percent of India's total workforce is employed in unorganized sector (44 crore population) go read economic survey 2022-2023 There is not much space for well regulated non public sector jobs in India E shram portal will tell you that 90 percent of registered unorganised workers in that portal earn less than Rs. 10000 per month And national career services platform data: more than 4 crore registered jobseekers meanwhile 60 lakh job providers Its all available on the website of ministry of labour and employment Finally govt is providing free foodgrain to 800 million of Indians since 2020 I mean look at the real condition of India, it sucks BIG TIME

wrong assumption, there are a lot of reasons one will want a government job, one is stability for life in salary and job, watching people get fired on daily basis nowadays around me I sometimes think why I didn't go for a government job because the fear of getting fired is always hanging, getting harrased by bosses on daily basis in private jobs and been given unimaginable targets, then there is also the case of keep giving interviews and changing jobs for better raise in private sector which I also hate.

For the top 50% of students in K-12, the future is bright. But the modern tech economy doesn't have opportunities for the bottom half of students. To start one's own business or work in the private sector, someone needs to be skilled, talented or both. India has the world's fastest growing economy. However, improving the academic performance of the bottom half of students in K-12 will be very challenging.

Controversial topic, but I believe that youth invest precious time in their young age preparing for government jobs. However, no government jobs worldwide can offer sufficient employment for India's vast youth population. The private sector is the more promising path. Do not be swayed by the allure of secure jobs. If you have the ability to secure a government position, you can easily land superior private sector jobs. I admire those who succeed in government job exams as they are truly challenging. Personally, I have not attempted these exams, but the private sector offers appealing salaries.

For employing the rapidly rising population of youth, manufacturing sector in India has to come up at forefront. Govt sectors cannot be expended beyond limits just for the sake of handing out employments to youth as there's no oil wells in India.

Economic growth in any unequal and also potentially corrupt society or country sometimes has no meaning or benefits to ordinary citizens. In countries like India where very little government investment goes into improving the quality of its population, a large population does not equate to economic progress. China had the largest population in the world yet China had invested heavily on skills development or improving of quality education meaning that Its population contributed to economic progress and prosperity

Poverty and Un-employment : When you get beyond the façade of the modern liberal economics and its goobligoop grounding of social production based on the growth of profit, you have to conclude that poverty is produced by policy. Ancient societies with inferior technology and science did not have un-employment; and yet the ancient societies had social protection for the aged and infirm. You don’t have to be a genius to see that unemployment and poverty is an invariable outcome of blatant feudalism, masking as market economy. Land is food, shelter, community, security and equality. With the emergence of militarized societies and the coalition of warlords who appropriated and privatized all land, mass poverty became the plight of man, and the powerful elites do their best to hide the truth of the capture of society.
