So he came alone to Mumbai (age 12 )and worked hard ,stayed with his uncle ,then sleeped in tents ,spotted by his coach who then trained him and supported him . It would've only destroyed their potential. Instead of focusing on domestic cricket and improving in long format, they would've fallen for lavish deals in t20 leagues. Hence never would let them develop their basic skills. And good batsman only come out of long form cricket. Look at the pakistani youngsters who fell for t20 leagues. They look promising in leagues and then underperfom in international stage. Whatever BCCI did was better.

Though these stories are inspirational but they are sad also. But india is in a phase like post war usa or 90s-2010s china where opportunities are plenty and those who will work hard will be rewarded you will see such stories in business sports politics and in all parts of life. Whatever one says about ipl (capitalalism) it has been a great equaliser in terms of making opportunity available to everyone. I hope my generation is successful in transforming this country and stories like jaiswal's are found in all walks of life.

I am a Indian but we have to look at our shortcomings also inorder to sustain excellence. How many quality fast bowlers are we producing in compared to batsmen? Bumrah is cool but for the peak youth power we have, the number of bowlers should also be more. BCCI should put more incentives for bowlers as they are the ones facing more uncertainty due to the nature of the job itselves. You got to be incredibly cautious about fitness to be a peak bowler compared to batsmen
