When we criticise our sportspersons that they don't bring medals..we don't question the system. 1.why do you think parents will send their kids to a field where they know that the government will not notice the talent. 2. There is no bodies who are working on the ground level to spot talent. 3. After spotting talent we have to invest so much on them from their very childhood. 4. The students who are not doing well in academics can be trained for particular sports according to their liking. 5. This is mainly because in schools the government doesn't promote sports the way they should. Even when I was a kid(not too long ago), participating in a sports competition or practicing for the same was seen as a job of non-scholar students or back benchers. It was said that those who are weak at studying or those who don't want to study go and play sports just so that they can give excuses for not studying. This mindset is what is stopping Indians from achieving success at the Olympics. This mindset is mainly because india doesn't treat their own sports champion well. There are many such incidents where a sportsman once a national champion in a particular sport would be working as a watchman or some small underpaid job once he gets old and couldn't participate in sports. This fear is stopping many Indian parents from taking initiative in letting their kids make a profession in sports. Not to mention corruption in sports is also one of the major problems. Only an honest government who can build good schools and make all the students available with the sports resources can make future gold medalists.

इसमें सुधार करे तो अच्छा नतीजा सबके सामने आ सकता है। १. जो खेल मंत्रालय से मान्यता प्राप्त खेल संघ है उसमे अनेक फेडरेशन की जो मनमानी चल रही है इसको रोकना पड़ेगा। २. ग्रामीण स्तर तक खेल खेलों का महत्व उसके फायदे पहुंचाने पड़ेंगे खेल संघ के माध्यम से, खेल के प्रति जागरूकता, खेल अभियान, खेल कैरियर का विज्ञापन आदि के माध्यम से। 3. यह जो राष्ट्रीय खेल संघों में विवाद चल रहे हैं, एक ही नाम के २_३ फेडरेशन बन रही है इसको भी रोकना पड़ेगा ताकि खिलाड़ी भ्रमित ना हो सके। 4. खिलाड़ियों के लिए नि:शुल्क उपकरण उपलब्ध कराना और उचित बुनियादी ढांचा ग्रामीण स्तर से उपल्ब्ध करके अच्छी सुविधा प्रदान करना। ऐसे एवम् बहुत गंभीर मुद्दे भी है इनके ऊपर अगर सही समय से उत्कृष्ट स्तर का काम किया जायेगा तो भविष्य में भारत देश ओलंपिक्स जैसे खेलों में ज्यादा पदक ला सकता है।

No gold is not an issue.We are getting medals.Issue is why not many medals in Boxing Wrestling Weightlifting and Badminton inspite of having many world class players.Shooting Archery and Table Tennis exceeded expectations.

Fact is our players are unable to handle pressure when it comes to Olympic games . They get nervous . Look at our Paralympic players they are doing wonders . Facing their opponent with sheer confidence and determination . Our Olympic players need to learn from Paralympic players .

Me school time me football khelta tha ..toh under 18 ya under 21 me sirf REWA TEAM me general category ko rakha jaata tha.. aur state national level ..chacha mama ka refrence wale ghumne jaate the....isliye kabhi MP se koi aacha football player ni nikla aaj tak. India is not weak in sports, but lacks proper management and choosing the players, it is highly neglected and dominated by Cricket only which gets VIP treatment than other sports. Look at Marycomb the world champion female boxer, she is less popular than Cricket players.

They should learn from our Paralympics atheletes how to take responsibility without blaming the infrastructure,ofc good infrastructure will improve the whole sporting performances in India but I still believe it only contributes 40% ,for winning a medal in Olympic.
