Yep, powerful and wealthy people in western nations (mostly) are very good at this kind of play. From medicines, to norms in education, to health and environmental protection. This narrative creation helps them sway opinions and policy makers to their bidding. Movie Dictator's last scene talk by Sacha Baron Cohen gives you an idea. So using tools others develop to one's advantage and setting local standards simultaneously helps one defend their rights and sovereignty.

West is powerful till everyone identifies it to be, once everyone feels I would not take pride in West next movement West is squashed. Certain generation in india they adopted pride in the West for economic upliftment and their younger generations absorbed it to subconscious level, we need to build nationalism from subconscious level

Nothing Immature in it! Immaturity is when one says the majority of the tech CEOs are Indian and feel proud about it when asked about the same question! When the people of the Country feel proud and celebrate Labouring the west and see it to be somehow related to India's success, then you know it's not gonna fetch the desired outcome upon investing a good amount of Time and Resources in them!

As an entrepreneur in the US, I have seen through the entire ESG lifecycle since its inception. I can confidently say under many circumstances such as the ESG funding, the concept has helped companies adopt sustainable practices and benefit from going green. However, many established monopolies(oligarchies) have quickly found a way to manipulate the narrative to their advantage and started greenwashing the efforts. I couldn't agree more with what Mr.Sanyal's assessment about swaying the narratives by western think thanks. They just ruin it for everyone. But don't get too carried away and villainize the idea of ESG which at its core is very noble. I'm glad new generation of Indian leaders could separate the cause from the propaganda. Bravo!

Very important topic may be that people are taking it in a normal way but its a concern thing. Recently we all know that there is happy country index public by this western people where our rank is below than srilanka. I mean i dont understand a country where people are demanding to change their country's law how can that country is happier than us. This is the kind of algorithm they set, the defination of happiness according to themselves. Its a serious issue.

As talented as Mr.Sanjeev Sanyal is, IMHO the biggest question to some non Tech person like him should not have been about Tech competence or Tech in general or it's effects & ill effects but more about how is and the vision for GoI to be an enabler to grow & nurture product Tech companies ? One cannot control the community & so it's not as though POTUS woke up one fine day & asked for Twitter or ChatGPT to be created, the Tech community in the US & the ecosystem will create it - 10 lanes with no toll basically. The larger qn is what enablers or ecosystem aka no tolls is the GoI doing to help nurture & grow for product Tech companies like Goog, FB, AMZ etc to be born and grown in India ? There was one Flpkrt but the Bansal's received no support from GoI that they had to sell it, ironically, to an American company. There has been none ever since them and why not and what's the plan to fill this gap - the next inventions will automatically happen in India

@8:40 , Here I don't agree with guest. While we can't close ourself like China , what's stopping us from creating alternatives. When people see value they will shift or start using it. Also government needs to support alternatives of all those sites. China started by copying and creating their own Why can't we do same for all. Even if small userbase will use our products. That can be improved over time.

Yes, Algorithms can manipulate information in a way and in a slower pace that no one can understand. There is a need for ExplainableAI on top of the AI to explain the decision and parameter with a high correlation with the result. Like GDPR, the government must think about governing policy on the algorithm.

@SodiumSyndicate
@SodiumSyndicate Жыл бұрын
No, it is trained on up to date data, just the one opened to the public CLAIMS to be just trained with data till 2021. It is highly faulty, prone to dangerous data manipulation, smart enough to sound legitimate but too dumb to discern false from truth by itself. This is a new holocaust waiting upon the world to happen by a dying vengeful West - a danger to its own children & to us. The only counter is weaponization of AI ourselves but trained in our cultural norms & smart enough to paint the West as Evil.

When talking about AI algorithm biases, one should not forget humans who make decisions are also biased, and also corrupt to make personal gains which the GPT is perhaps not IMHO.

There’s a guy Rajiv criticising and calling to challenge risks and act but, here is a typical Indian telling the same things after he said in the open. Unfortunately, the latter kind of people is more prevalent in the country and they will only talk. Like in the beginning of IT boom in the 90s, they said, India will overtake China as there is language advantage, democracy and look at what really happened. Need people who are pragmatic and act.

Keeping to the topic of AI, he was probably referring to regression algorithms which in fact form equations for the patterns to playout. He could have articulated it better but he wasn't wrong. Your definition of algorithm is very generic and basic whereas he is talking about a more specialized form.

Crypto/ blockchain is been massacred, not giving the space to flourish...
