This Modiji govt tenure will be one of the best after 70 years of lackluster performance. It is a back to basics governance - first giving all basic needs to the people - houses with CNG gas, electricity & drinking water with villages connected to the cities with roads. Job completed in almost 10 yrs rule. Next - big leap frogging by the country into a developed & manufacturing one. 💐💐🙏🙏

Ranveer, can you please get someone from Income tax department to talk about PAN + ADHAR issue. My case is a little different. I’m in 60s. I’m a OCI card holder. I don’t have a Adhar card. My trouble is that my PAN is in residential ward. So if it is not joined with Adhar, PAN will be deactivated, as per my knowledge. I need to move it international ward. But no one knows what to do and I can’t deal with it sitting thousands of miles away. Government should provide directives and work with other departments like NIC (National Information Center) to avoid OCI card holders going through hassles of deactivation of PAN. NRIs work very hard and send their savings to India. They shouldn’t be penalized for helping India with foreign exchange.

Only Residents of India are required to enroll for an Aadhaar Card and it is mandatory for them to obtain one. OCIs who have stayed in India for more than 182 days are eligible to enroll for an Aadhar Card. “As per Section 139AA of the Income tax Act, 1961, every person who is eligible to obtain Aadhaar number shall, on or after the 1st day of July 2017 quote Aadhaar number (i) in the application form for allotment of permanent account number; (ii) in the return of income. The above provisions apply to persons who are eligible to get Aadhaar. Under section 3 of the Aadhaar Act 2016, only a resident is entitled to get Aadhaar. Therefore, the provisions of Section 139AA quoted above regarding linking of Aadhaar to PAN or the requirement of quoting the Aadhaar number in the return shall not apply to a non resident, who is not eligible to get Aadhaar.” So basically OCI's not living in India are not required to link their PAN, since they're not eligible for an Aadhar, however if you plan on living in India for more than 6 months in a financial year you must apply for one post 182 days of your arrival. Only then you're required to to link your PAN to aadhar.

In our medieval model, guilds used to be prominent. Each guild was skill-based. When we talk about education- what we must focus is our vocation. This is what made India the largest exporter during medieval times that every explorer wanted to find India. Also when we talk about education- our traditions taught how to revisit and reinvent. This is the key aspect of education that explains the unity and diversity of food, language, clothes, art, music ie. culture. However, strategic dismantlement of traditional pedagogies to introduce Western schooling- we have over the years become a great labour class. Whereas, Culture is our strength- and culture also interpreted as dharma also interpreted as jati also interpreted as vocation. Unfortunately- today govt has very little funds for culture; and they are neither doing anything to revive traditional pedagogies to teach originality and invention.

Ranveer: I actually agree with you!! The money in education has to be constant. Without education, you will not have doctors in health, engineers who build our roads, pilots who want money in aviation… can only happen IF they are educated. The money in education has to be constant!!! Cuba is a bad example of good health - because without educated doctors there would not be good health. Try putting money into the roadway system without an educated engineer. It will not work. Stand up for what you have learned Ranveer, you are right. Without education, the future will not work!!! It is the basis of all progress in all professions!! Now, besides education, you also need ambition!! We need education so educated people can complain of how they want more money in health, education, infrastructure, and even politics. It has nothing to do with linear thinking, it has a way of thinking with an educated mind. All examples given by the speaker can only become a problem, like the aviation example - if you have educated pilots, air traffic controllers, and aviation engineer!!

Even Sanjeev is clueless when it comes to startups in India setting up in US or Singapore. Maybe it is because of taxes but startups are being sold to big US players. Why is not DRDO interested to buy these startups? Or maybe India is relying on export model of Startups” as a service?
@adityashah1069
@adityashah1069 Жыл бұрын
The point you brought up is valid and absolutely requires consideration. I think that for the most part, it depends on the entrepreneur's decision/mindset. Indian companies don't have as deep pockets as American companies and for the most part Indian companies (PE/VC/government agencies like DRDO) either can't match up the bid or are not interested in the first place. It's like as a seller (or entrepreneuer), do you want to sell your product/company at a higher price to a foreign entity or at a relatively lower price to a local buyer/business. The choice you make in either case is not wrong.
@YabhijitDutta
@YabhijitDutta Жыл бұрын
@@adityashah1069 Aditya I agree with you on the entrepreneur mindset. DRDO has deep pockets when it comes to importing tech. Our country is wealthy when it comes to buying tech ( I leave it upto you to research ). And startup is basically American driven concept so obviously it makes sense to attract investors. If you go much deeper into understanding the root cause-the gov,corporate,universities are not aligned with a single mindset to develop our country. Private universities are behaving much more like a corporate thing. With all these, I think it is better to give it to American companies lol

@YabhijitDutta
@YabhijitDutta Жыл бұрын
@@Dennis56781000 You are right. That’s why it is necessary to develop a bridge between Gov,Corporates and Universities as I earlier told to Aditya in this post. But everyone wants to make a good profit and start an early retirement ( maybe due to lower scores of happiness index of our country ). Every startup wishes to get acquired but no one wants to be an established brand. Service based or D2C startups offer healthy competitive environment but product based startups are very few in india. Even SaaS products are not competitive when compared to US based startups. The next gov should work on something called “Align India” where corporates should dictate the market problem and startup community should come up with innovative solutions and ofcourse gov should work on the grassroots of education. God help this nation !

We need changes in system. Not only by technology, but they should be done from the roots. Change is needed in rules of Taxation. Less taxation still more revenue.Currency compression should be the next step. And then Bank Transaction Tax which will be deducted at source..... Basically Arthakranti Proposal.

Constructive churning is good thing for country but there are certain sectors which are pillars of economy. 1. Defence 2. Education 3. Healthcare In my opinion, private investments in these sectors for long term can the twist economy. Our competitors will try to twist the economy using destructive measures in these sectors. If you look at Indian economy, it was heavily supported by Indian middle class towards it's contribution in economy in past. Most of these class is on verge of retirement and donot possess even social security as well as affording Healthcare services is going to be a challenge for them. Also, educational services in India is substantially high. This is going to push Middle class to move downwards. In my perception, government should come up with some solid stand in these areas. This is my personal perception, based on my limited knowledge in this space.

The problem with offshore financial centers like Singapore and Dubai but primarily Singapore is very deep rooted. Singapore silently has developed deep international finance ties with India ( taking advantage of clueless previous Indian Govt's) and it is totally in their advantage , Singapore virtually positioned itself as India's international finance city, due to lack of international finance business infrastructure in India. Indian multinational companies and industrialists moved a lot of their international business affairs to Singapore and Dubai, in particularly Singapore. In this regard GIFT city is great effort to counter it but we need to fasten up the development and need to make GIFT city internationally attractive to stay. Billions of dollars of Indian money moved and still moving to Singapore and then comes back to India through Private equity, and recently likely coming back to India as affiliates of Sovereign wealth fund investments to acquire Indian businesses in India, This money parked overseas is also used for Indian start up acquisitions in foreign jurisdiction . Its messy and costing India probably millions in tax every year if not Billions. Hope this Govt has some strategy to counter it 🙄🙄🙄

So how does this happen? The funds going out and then coming in? What is the incentive in this? Why can’t they be utilised directly?

No talk about Kingfisher Airlines and how they are going to recover all the money owed by Vijay Mallya to the government. The point to note is how was he allowed to leave the country. All the employees were left in the lurch. If the government thinks about writing off the monies owed by such persons,it's very bad for the economy. Such economics will ruin the country. The honest taxpayers feel cheated in such a scenario. God Save the King ofoureconomy. God Save India.

So when someone hits a six, don't clap for BCCI(Modi, as per ur analogy) .. Appreciate it at its own level, but the game is going well because of great planning happened even before 2014, (and post 2014 too), a boom in technology, entrepreneurs, etc etc.

It seems like the basic way of making companies with ideas without doing any R&D in universities is a bit delusional way of doing things Since a lot of people are present in India, as a country it'll win, but there'll a lot of folks who'll do wrong way of things and which will remove the credibility of folks in India in 20 years itself
