Barkha Dutt reports from a Gurudwara in Indirapuram in Ghaziabad where people were seen literally begging for Oxygen and oximeter. On the road outside the Gurudwara, there's a rush of vehicles carrying covid patients where people were seen desperately looking out for oxygen, beds and even for a covid test. An "oxygen langar" organised at the Gurudwara is an interim measure to save the covid-19 gasping for breath. Although it cannot replace medication, hospital or consistent treatment but now it's all that people have. A man with his 77-year-old maternal grandmother rushed to the Gurudwara in search of oxygen cylinder. Luckily, they managed to get one and the family is in relief for at least sometime. Organizers of "oxygen langar" told Mojo Story that they helped a lot of patients to get admission in the hospitals. Since the past few days, the hospitals have run out of beds and oxygen supply and so with thought to help people here in a Gurudwara itself, one of the volunteers said. As more and more people are losing their breath in absence of oxygen, this kind of citizen initiatives are helping to save many lives.
