India: How to take a slice of the banana business

Didiki's family have been banana farmers for decades, but failed to make much profit from their crop. Fast forward a few years and now they are running their own successful family business.
With support from the Innovation Fund, a partnership between IFAD and the government of India, they have been able to scale up their investments, buy new equipment and make banana snacks which they sell in fresh new packaging. The family now have big plans to branch out into other products like banana shakes.
One simple investment to her and her family has provided improved livelihoods for over 20 families in the village who now work in the business or sell bananas to them.
