Foreign tourists were often deterred from coming to India because of the fear of being left high and dry somewhere. Then along came Naresh Goyal, an NRI from London, who created an airline which changed the face of civil aviation in India.

wasn't Vayudoot private? the bullock carts in air. it felt miraculous if one cleared turbulence and those propeller based crafts landed in in one piece. East West initially was very good... as in Dawood/mafia pampered even the cabin crew... or at-least the female staff in general... all cabin crew and pilots, technical hires well looked after. passengers had decent travel (compared to other options then). sadly the same mafia, underworld ownership took down East West
