If your country gets a higher per capita income then you will have a higher wage but that means you will have to do work that gives higher wages. To simply put manufacturing jobs and blue collar jobs will not be viable for your country. So the only way to justify your high wage is to provide something that is of high value. You can't have a high per capita income country by selling rice or running call centres. You have to manufacturing high-tech stuff, advance goods and provide world class services to justify your high salery. So india is doing a good job on focusing on high value adding industry like software, ev, semiconductor, aerospace and lab grown diamonds. But it need to do more and than too in R&D and in industry policy. You can't have a country with high per capita either in nominal or ppp with just farming, government or running call centre. India should now focus on R&D, manufacturing, entrepreneurship and risk taking in emerging industry. But i see most of the indian population is just fixated on government jobs and farming. If that keeps on happening then forget about nominal even in ppp india will not be developed. Socialism happens after capitalism not before

Chip manufacturing is a long and niche skill area.. Currently we have started assembling unit.. We are not manufacturing.. We don't have talent.. So to make manufacturing hub, first India has to work seriously on developing talent pool for this niche skill otherwise we will only do assembling which can be done anywhere.. we have to focus on doing all areas of chip manufacturing.. which is mainly happening in Taiwan.. Its a long and tedious process..

Why is the financial/technological news always about USA and China but little to nothing about India? How do India stay relevant in the Global financial/technological news? By making some videos that are predictions of the distant future such as 1) How India WILL BE the global superpower by year 2047? 2) How India COULD be the global superpower by year (insert year)? 3) India a "POTENTIAL" superpower by year (insert year)? 4) CAN India be a Global superpower? or 5) India WILL BECOME a global superpower by year (insert year)? 6) WILL India surpassed China/USA? and so on? "Will be/ Could be/ Potential / Can / Will become / Will surpassed"? All these words are "predictions of the future"? Is this how they cope? Are they repetitive spams or are they real financial/technological news? Obviously, they don't even qualify as news let alone financial/technological news. This is how they stay relevant in the financial/technological news? Will they ever learn their lessons? Remember "Know Your Meme: India superpower by 2020"?
