India Nepal Relations : भारत और नेपाल के बीच होने वाली शादियों पर विराम क्यों लग रहा है? (BBC)

नेपाल और भारत के बीच सरहद जितनी कमज़ोर रही है, सरहद के दोनों ओर रहने वाले लोगों के रिश्ते उतने ही मज़बूत रहे हैं. लेकिन रिश्तो की जमीन अब कमजोर हो रही है. उसकी वजहों की तलाश करते करते नेपाल और बिहार की सीमाओं पर लगे इलाकों का दौरा करने बीबीसी टीम निकली. भारत और नेपाल के बीच रिश्तों की गर्माहट के केंद्र रहे बीरगंज और रक्सौल की दूरी बढ़ रही है. कहा जा रहा है कि संबंध बीरगंज और रक्सौल के बदले दिल्ली और काठमांडू में शिफ़्ट हो गया है. काम कर वापस जा रहे मज़दूरों की साइकिल में टंगे खाद के बोरे से बने थैले की जाँच सरहद पर सख़्ती से की जा रही है. सब्ज़ियों के थैले में सुरक्षा बल अफ़ीम खोज रहे हैं. साइकिल पर सवार दोनों तरफ़ के मज़दूर अपने ही इलाक़े में अनजान से लगने लगे हैं. लेकिन इन सबके बावजूद प्रेम पनप ही जाता है. पाबंदियों से अरेंज मैरेज पर गहरा असर पड़ा है. नेपाल और भारत के बीच रोटी-बेटी का संबंध जितना आम है, उतना ही ख़ास. कहा जाता है कि इसकी शुरुआत राजा जनक की बेटी सीता और अयोध्या के राजकुमार राम के विवाह से होती है. सीता और राम का विवाह भले इतिहास में कम दर्ज है लेकिन जनमानस में रचा बसा है. ग्वालियर राजघराने के महाराजा जीवाजीराव सिंधिया की पत्नी लेखा दिव्येश्वरी यानी विजयाराजे सिंधिया हों या जम्मू-कश्मीर के राजा हरि सिंह के बेटे कर्ण सिंह की पत्नी यशोराज्य लक्ष्मी या फिर माधवराव सिंधिया की पत्नी. सबका नेपाल कनेक्शन है. नेपाल और भारत के बीच दिलों का रिश्ता भगवान से लेकर राजा-महाराजा और फिर मज़दूर-किसान तक जाता है. लेकिन यह रिश्ता अब तेज़ी से कमज़ोर पड़ रहा है. देखिए वीडियो जर्नलिस्ट संदीप यादव के साथ बीबीसी संवाददाता रजनीश कुमार की यह रिपोर्ट

Nepal is sovereign nation it has its own laws and constitution. Muslims of Nepal go for Haz to Saudi Arabia but respect Arabic laws. Why this misunderstanding among Indians? They can come to Nepal and marry and vice versa. This is an age of globalization. Who marys where is not an issue but free will. Nepalese who marry Indians do not automatically become bonafide citizens of India. There are many Nepalese and Indians who marry Westerners. Nationalities have their own characteristics bound by the constitution of the land.
