Hey buddy..anything you eat from the street in india which is not cooked properly is going to be difficult for the stomach. If you feel hungry only try the things that are well cooked and hot so they don't have any leftover bacteria. If you want to try indian cuisine, try the food courts in the shopping malls , there is one in Saket City Centre(accessible from Delhi metro, try going during non rush hours 11 am - 5 pm) which is really cool but bit expensive. India at the end of the day is what it is but I hope it is an experience for you to remember

Chandni chowk is what it is , it’s an old area which is overpopulated af , I have never been there and the food there is cheap and good , south Delhi part is the one which is more suitable for farmers while this is the old Delhi part

If anyone wanna visit India , they need to research and ask locals for feedback , as an Indian I would prefer states like Rajasthan , Gujrat for travel or the hilly northern states or Kerala , Bangalore or the entire north east
