Major reason for low occupancy is people generally prefer Shatabdi in break journey forms like NDLS-GWL/VGLJ , GWL/VGLJ-BINA/BPL/RKMP and so on. And railways has recently introduced 22470/69 Khajuraho Vande Bharat at same running schedule with much better time-table which has majorly taken the traffic on its head making almost deduction of 75% to 80% occupancy of Shatabdi till GWL/VGLJ. And the other reason is slow Time Table of Shatabdi, as it takes around 9hrs from NDLS-RKMP. I mean in 10hrs you’re covering the same distance with Shan-e-Bhopal that too it’s an overnight run without wasting the day.
