Now, according to Maulana Mohammad Abolghassem Doulabi, out of the 75,000 mosques in the country, 50,000 have been shuttered, reflecting a decline in the number of people who attend. On June 1, he voiced concern about the alarming situation and stated that the statistics represent a troubling admission for a country based on Islamic beliefs.

Nothing succeeds like success so here's wishing all the girls featured and the ones who will follow in their footsteps the very best. Hats off and deepest respect to the parents of these girls for going against the grain and instead giving wings to the dreams of their daughters. Lastly, Sangya's grandma is one awesome and special lady. May all your dreams for your granddaughter come true. Jai Hind.

I, natively from Haryana, can try to put some better perspective in. Sports (not just wrestling or boxing) are part of our culture, and atleast in urban part and much of the rural sphere. It is very agreeable that there has been deep rooted sexism in the state for a long time, but is the improvement not laudable? The people of my state adjusted with changing times, and the new generation is not as pathetic towards gender as percieved. We boast of more than half of India's women hockey team and a HUGE chunk of female (and overall ofc) medal telly from Olympics and Asian Games/Commonwealth Games considering the population of just 2% of India's population. How much have certain other (not to be named) communities changed in the last decades where women have traditionally been even more terribly sidelined? Did you hear him at 13:25? Ground report is, I don't think atleast in the regions I am familiar about where there is excessive discrimination for women to play sports, and there are so many academies even in the periphery of my home where their participation is very high. If you wanna play something, you can. The city of Bhivani produces the majority of women boxers in the country and is a hub for women's boxing. Female akharas are getting common now. We have world class female athletes. But I think the perception that our ancestors laid would stay for now. Yeah we are the people who kill female foetus in the womb. Get over it.

24:43 This dint change anything, Instead that man is still free and is a member of Parliament. Instead the female wrestler had to retire from her carrier.

This is not known outside India as most of our history taught outside is written by The British, But it was quite normal for a girl to fight in India. You can check 1857 revolution and before that how women lived in India. It was Victorian era British who could not accept women outside home. So they destroyed that culture and killed anyone who resisted.

Of course, never take responsibility for your own bullshit. Blame the British. Of course, then blame the Mughals. Blame the Portuguese. Blame the French. Blame the Dutch. Such stupid mentality. The British started the railways, established schools, updated the postal service, organized the military, built gorgeous buildings, but of course its all their fault that people are backwards and ignorant. 😂😂😂😂
