We've actually built a Stage 2 Z4 M40i for a client of ours and it struggles to put down traction in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. The way the torque comes in on these B58 engines is just brutal.

@@iamjkjay, depending on how much torque you're going to be pushing, you'll need a clutch upgrade for the MT cars. Or else you'll have to run a Low Torque map.

Guys Virtus GT can be unlocked now to 180 bhp, need quick run down on it. VFM vehical will be manual GT which can be easily pushed to 200 bhp

The version of zf gearbox on the 340i cant handle anymore torque without slippage on stock setup. M3/4 gearbox can handle more. As of now it should be fine. 700hp guys have already faced slippage on dyno

We cap the torque low down to prevent slip. Also if you take it easy in 6th gear, you're good to go at these levels as long as the tune is reporting the torque correctly. We may upgrade the gearbox at some point. Let's see.

S58 is forged and twin turbo setup. where as b58 is not completely forged only crank and rods are forged which are fragile than s58 ones and has a single turbo setup

B58 is the best engine ever made, simply a German engineering marvel!!! People underestimate it wayyy too much 1000bhp without any internal changes is simply mind fucking

Thats not all true b58 doesnt get the forged pistons. Its has forged rods and crank but not the grade of s58. Also it has a single turbo setup and when you tune it to upwards of 800hp it needs a very big turbo and will have lot of turbo lag. Pureturbos 850 can push it to 700whp but it need lot of fueling mods and other mods like hpfp, lpfp, injectors , intake , downpipe , intercooler and a better forged internal kit with ported intake. Also the main problem is it needs 102- 106 ron which is very hard to source in india.

A lot depends on which city you live in & the elevation of that city compared to Sea Level. In Bangalore a stock M340i does 4.4-4.7s
