India’s Longest Shatabdi Express Blazing at 130 Kmph | Indian Railways

My Favourite and India’s longest Shatabdi Express in terms of maximum coaches in its consist freezing through 2 EMUs at its maximum permissible speed of 130 Kpmh. Seen here is Vadodara (BRC) WAP-7 #30526 blistering through Palghar, towing Ahmedabad-Mumbai #12010 Shatabdi Express. Train was 10 minutes behind its schedule and loco pilot was in furious mood to make it on-time at Mumbai Central.

@@jayadebpradhan8157 I can understand. Nowadays what you observe is - A WAP-7 with a. Red Lhb rake. There are a lots of variations for E-locos. Trust me there was a time when A WAP-5 and Shatabdi was my favourite train combo but what we observe today is A Wap-7 everywhere with each train. And wap-4 and Wap-5 are just for hauling slow Express or passenger train

@@ariesmanu2k Hey, i got the reason why nowadays only wap-7 is used . As you heard that every train will have 24 coaches or atleast 22 but wap-5 is not capable of more than 18 (or 20 maybe) . That's why only wap-7 is used .

Impressive. Most Indian trains sadly travel at full speed near to the stations but after that they slow down and hence their average speeds are usually less than 80 kmph. Waiting for a truly HST.

The Rajdhanis have limited stops and don't have to go through the cycle you have mentioned. Are you aware of the number of stops on this route ? Vande Bharat now runs at 130 kmph in stretches.
