The Indians will just blame the British, as they usually do, for all of their problems and their failures, and under the current Modi regime they've made it hard for NGOs to operate mainly because it shames the Indians and shows the world how little the GOI is actually doing for it's own people! Caste was banned under Dr Ambedkar's excellent secular constitution in 1950, but as usual with the Indians they just ignore the laws that they don't like, and corruption plays its part too! It is what it is.

@@bishesh535 you must be Indian. Indians can’t stand being criticized for your system. Automatically compare it to other systems when it’s not about that. Even only fans, as horrible as it is, is still a “choice” for most people. These women in India don’t have a choice and for many it’s the ONLY one. That’s the difference. As she says, no one in her family had jobs and her sister “had” to get married. Why does her sister HAVE TO get married? Because of tradition and culture in this place. Fight for change in your own country and support women. Stop comparing to other countries and to justify the issues in your own. It’s not about other countries it’s about India.

Not just this people do misbehave with us and even touch us inappropriately. Indian society has a long way to go, long era is required to change the social status of women.

The data clearly shows that immigrants are vastly overrepresented. This is why they won't investigate the problem. 89% of groomers in the Netherlands have an immigrant background, and 60% are Muslims, while most victims in the Netherlands are Dutch girls, not immigrant girls. Why are they (DW) ignoring the child sexual exploitation cases in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Norway, and Sweden, etc... hmmmm. The data clearly shows that immigrants are vastly overrepresented. This is why they won't investigate the problem. 89% of groomers in the Netherlands have an immigrant background, and 60% are Muslims, while most victims in the Netherlands are Dutch girls, not immigrant girls. I'm glad that the women in this report held on to their dignity in spite of their difficult situations. Some comments imply that there's only a caste system in India, but really, in every country there are places where respectable people won't venture, so I don't think it is the case. God bless those lovely people of rural India!

exactly, in uk some people also don't interact. Same in some ohter countries. It is just not called cast system. Also, the man admits that nomadic life styel was part of the problem as it prevented them from being educated. So we can see that it is not just one cause and one solution.

Yes but the difference is in India there is a caste system which is upheld by the government as much as they claim not to on paper. Just by birthright you are looked at as inferior. So if you born a "Dhalit caste" ,from birth you basically at a minus. Research it if you don't believe me. A person of a " higher caste" will not even eat of the same dish as a " lower caste". They make the lower caste clean up their feaces and do the most undignified jobs.
@PY-ot1kl Жыл бұрын
@@nafissagani3196 they believe it alright. Only when it's the matter of reservation they want to show that it's nowhere and instead it's varna system in India (which is equally corrupted)

I just came from my second trip to India. Been to New Delhi Jaipur Agra and Mumbai. Experienced the grandiosity of India too. Visited slums ! I found love for India ! I hope for those who are suffering under this tradition be free someday. We are all equal in the eyes of God. Many countries can be with any race but I found how special India is. No one can ever be Indian enough except Indians that's how special and beautiful they are.

Decades ago, I attended a lecture in Hong Kong by an Indian doctor. He said, at that time, that the caste system was disappearing. I'm surprised it's still around. India is growing as a world power. As such, a caste system can't continue.
@Dara_107 Жыл бұрын
It’s disappearing in cities BUT in rural India where community and family is an integral part, caste system still persists. So the Indian doctor wasn’t wrong as in cities no one really cares about what your caste is. But when you step into rural India we see it still thriving.

Lots of prostitution, homeless in America also bro. Lots of prostitution in Europe and caucuses also. Why did British stop them from their traditional jobs? Why did British accentuate the caste system by growing more divisions and starting manual scavenging? What were Christian colonisers doing all over the world grabbing land in Americas and australias, killing the natives, exploring people and making them slaves as they did with the Africans? Propagating famines in India? Is this the truth about Christianity which was started by the Europeans for waging wars and maintain their superiority. In India they came and preached about giving another cheek when slapped on one to produce a set of docile Indian Christian’s who will do majority opposition and try to increase their counts using conversion if they are not able to match it by creating babies? What great posts or scientists have so called below average English speaking Christian’s of Indian descent reached in India or the world? They are not idhar ka na udhar ka. don’t even have ur a culture they can claim as their own.

Prostitution is practised in every other country not just in India, be it india, China or USA. And yes many are forced into it doesn't means it's because f caste system. Prostitution is a profession that has always been looked down upon and people involved in it are ostracized.

Caste system is abolished in India and no caste system exists in India. But it cannot be said about caste-based discrimination. But this is not a case of caste system or aftermath of Caste System. They were forced in prostitution due to poverty. There is not a single caste even in history whose members were considered as prostitutes or slaves. This channel has raised a good issue but they have not done the research properly.

Thank you DW for treating these women with kindness & dignity, which they absolutely deserve. Great video. To the people blamimg the women for their "choice"...the woman who said she "chose" to be a SW was also born into this, uneducated, so how much choice did she have? Hint: next to none. That's why that NGO and teacher are BREAKING the cycle and intervening before it repeats itself with their daughters. These women are also young and beautiful, even those in middle age still have so much life ahead of them and can accomplish new dreams! 😊 ✨ 💖 ✨ Despite the tough life they've endured, they're survivers and thrivers, and exude joy, wit, and kindness, plus hope. The woman at 9:27 is especially radiant from the inside out. Love the garment she is wearing, such a lovely blue. Many women in the west would pay big bucks for handmade garments like that and many of the women make their own clothes. They're already businesswomen so they could expand. Just a thought. Thank you DW! 🇮🇳🇮🇳
