Hi , a quick question we are looking to fly from mumbai to melbourne, we are planning to go through the same flight, but at hong kong there is a 12 hr layover, and then the flight is from terminal 3, they said indians would require transit visa so, just to reach terminal 3 do we require this transit visa as we are going to stay in the ariport only.

Hi! I am pretty sure that for the terminal transfer u don’t require any kind of visa! If just in case you are planning to go out you might have to do some pre arrival formalities like filling up some forms.🙂Have a safe journey!

No you don't need to collect the baggage if you are flying somewhere ahead & yes hkg airport does have a very good Wi-Fi!🙂

Hi, i am flying to melbourne on 13th feb with Cathay Pacific. But i have a doubt that my layover at Hong kong airport is of 15 hours and 15 minutes so do i need any kind of visa or register myself somewhere ?. I don’t intend to leave the airport during my layover period. Btw my uni is Monash University

Hi! If u don’t intend to leave the airport for 15 hours u don’t need anything. Although Hong kong has visa on arrival so even if u want to go out, u can by simply taking voa. Have a great journey! Cheers!
