Could u please help me with my travel doubts. I never travelled outside South India. Am planning to go Russia budget travelling in June end for 1 or more months visa. As Russia tickets costly so i want to go Kazakhstan (free visa 14 days) then hitchhiking by road to Russia. is it good idea? i don't know how, when to apply Russian While applying will they ask flight tickets from India??. I made few good Russian friends in Goa, i will stay with one of them. Good ways to get invitation card?

First of all, thank you Shiva for commenting. Russia does not give more than one month visa to indian tourists. Secondly, you need to show air ticket while applying russian visa. In your case, if you want to cross border from kazakhstan. They will ask you kazakhstan visa, you can tell them or show any document which says, indians have 14 days free stay. And them convince that you are going to cross land border otherwise they will ask for air ticket again (kazakh-russia)
