Its very simple. India and Pakistan due to spin pitches their historical approach was always their best batsman would be at 4 5 6 who knew how to score big and play spin, they were the real engine all the time like Sachin, dravid, laxman, jayawerdena, ranatunga, desilva, inzamam, asad Shafiq, yousuf, Misbah, Younis, Azhar Ali. On the other hand for SENA teams they always relied on being top heavy, and lower order quick scorers. The problem for India and Pakistan has been chasing their approach. Indian middle order is not anymore distinguished from top three, no more are oppositions don't know whether to get happy or not after taking quick wickets only to see likes of dravid , laxman , Sachin, Ganguly etc. Pakistan did this blunder when they ousted asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali. Now struggling to replace him. India and Pakistan are wanting to have fast scoring guys in the middle. It is back firing. Also we need to play older players in test match especially batsmen and spinners.
