A lot of resentment must be felt to not feel awkward and instead to feel patriotic when your side makes those outlandish movements or ritually fights the other side with invisible swords.. Yes, this used to be a serious ceremony with both sides simply marching in with their full dress goose stepping style in absolutely perfect unison, attempting to look sharper than the other guys. It now appears to have descended (hasn't everything?) into an NBA Dunk Contest style "look at me" individual performance, complete with hot chick soldiers/cops (who aren't that good compared to the old days - but they ARE hot). If the original Idea of Sukarno, Nehru, Ali from the Banding conference of 1955 would revive that these three countries (Indonesia, India & Pakistan) could combine forces, also with Thailand (without dictatorship) and VietNam, there would be a real new world power. A force fo the good - with al the philosophy and culture in the history of those countries - to compete peacefully with the USA, China, Russia and (Western) Europe. With a new vision on everything. The only problems to solve are poverty, environment, the thread to nature an climate change.
