Thankyou so much India hikes for organizing such a beautiful trek with amazing trek leaders. We went there as a family of 4 and enjoyed it thoroughly! This conversation brought back a lot of memories ........ beautiful drive, lovely campsites especially the one before the summit climb, beautiful forest, yummy simple food and Sheru the brave friendly dog who accompanied us throughout the trek! Thankyou Mr. Majumdar for coming up with such a beautiful trek, memories of which will last a lifetime

@@snehalatha7146 u can if u prepare well and use to knee deep snow, negative 5 to 10 temperatures, days when sun not come out. It was my first trektoo.

Hi swati, can someone with asthama ( not on daily medication, but keep inhaler/ medication always ) do kedarkantha in autumn (September) if they can run 5k in 40 min. Want to do it with indiahikes.

Hi Swati. We have trekkers with asthma trekking with us in winters also. As long as you are carrying your inhaler/medication, you can do the trek.

If the children are active and fit, you can take them. Dayara Bugyal would be a better option for 8 year olds though. It is shorter and more gradual, even though it climbs to a similar altitude. Absolutely. Almost 60% of our winter trekkers are beginners who have never stepped into the Himalayas before. If you build up your fitness and carry the right warm layers, you'll easily be able to trek in winter. :)

Not too much, unless it's an off-year and the snowfall starts much in advance. Time your trek from the second week of December to be able to see snow.
