I totally understand. I am American but fluent in Spanish as from Mexico. The differences between Mexican and Spanish español are muy differente. I also speak some Italiano and Portuguese.

That makes a lot of sense! I noticed that when I did study abroad in Spain vs interacted with all my friends (I don’t live too far from the US + Mexico border) and they have a very different feel to them!
