US is pressurizing & blackmailing India as they know that we are badly in need of some critical equipment. Govt of India should atleast now open eyes and encourage local R&D. It may take time to fructify but local eco system would do wonders for the country in the long term. Major challenge is acceptance by our patriotic forces, more so the IAF & Chandigarh lobby!

We should induct LCH Prachand ASAP and get some kamov 50 gun ships for Indian army which quite similar to apache also cheaper in price so that USA starts taking our demand more serioulsy also we can move that 600 million $ for accuiring cargo plane from them as we can not rely on them for fighter platforms as they are most unreliable partner when it comes to arms supply because of their policy of blackmailing the buyer country with so many unreliable and unrealistic conditions which usually applies on arms purchase
