This is why Nepal continues to use the official Bikram Sambat calendar instead of the Catholic calendar. Most people in Nepal are either unaware of or have no interest in the Catholic calendar.After the monarchy was overthrown, some leaders tried to impose the Catholic calendar, but the people of Nepal firmly rejected it. We don’t need to conform to a foreign system. I hope India will also move towards adopting the Bikram Sambat calendar, embracing its own heritage and breaking free from the lingering influence of foreign occupation.

another point to note...........the church used latin or roman numerals up to the 17th-18th century in dating and note that when they converted to hindu numerals they did a sleight of hand deception which basically added 1000 years to their calendar........in their roman dating inscriptions or paintings etc...they would inscribe the year by having prefixed the millenium century then the particular year of the century for e.g. 1st millenium 5th century year 56..........when they rewrote it in modern numbers it became 1556 when in reality it was the year 456.....why is this the case..........because roman numbers HAVE NO ZERO and 1st millenium means year 1-1000 and 5th century is year 400-500.........when they changed it to modern numbers they added 1 millenium and 5 centuries to the current year and fooled everyone.....so in reality we are only in the year 924 AD not 2024.......but if course another thing is because the so called churches themselves had no clue when jesus was crucified they actually added centuries to their calendar in retrospect rather than actually starting the so called calendar 924 years ago which means this calendar only began some 600-700 years ago around the time of the dark ages in europe and not 2000 years ago as claimed

Mathematically, isn't all the ills of the Gregorian calendar already solved since we are using GPS system to track the timezone and times? And computers work on epoc times? When the topic is of mathematics and science, why are we talking about history? Also, the dates are no longer dated in AD or BC. It's BCE or CE. Anyways, how does any of that matter when it comes to the topic of maths and science?
@therewere2032Күн бұрын
Dates are talked about in AD and BC. Even BC and BCE is a stunt by apologetics, which is an essential practice of the two Abrahamic cults. And just like you are discouraging discussion of history, since it connects to one of the Abrahamic cult, this is exactly the purpose of apologetics. Apologetics and polemics are the most essential part of these two cults.
@therewere2032Күн бұрын
Harvard University even today uses the year of the lord in academic diploma papers to denote the year of graduation. So please do not try to be an Abrahamic apologetic, if are really not one.

@@therewere2032 Ok. Let's come back to the topic. How does that change anything in Mathematics or Issue with Indian Weather pattern which is now done by Super Computers accurately, like predicting storms a week before it will happen to rescue people and so on? @@codedusting i think you need to clearly read the topic set by the channel. instead of being the apologist of the abrahamic cults, which have clear roles of apologetic and polemics to deviate the discussion from their cultish dogmas and actions. abrahamic cults need such faculties to impose, sugarcoat and whitewash their beliefs on the infidels, and when caught red handed, deviate the discussion as effectively as possible. again to reiterate, the topic set for the discussion by the channel is about comparison of christian calender with bharatiya calender and how it holding us back. well i am sure a reasonable and rational person will agree that the historical context and differences between them will be discussed.

Sir with due respect i think he might be wrong coz, I talked to an astrophysicist, and he said Gregorian calendar (christian) and Mayan calender or Indian calender were based on both solar or lunar cycles. Which gave an approximate number 365.2425. But, the leap year system was an addition to 365.2425 time after four years to account for this approximation which was left unaccounted in both mayan and indian calenders. Lunar cycles were part of Original calender but in modern Gregorian Calender this approximation was scrutinized already. So till date it's the most accurate one. Isn't of using original calender we Indians should focus on giving either new or better calnder than the Gregorian calendar!

C K Raju sir's comments on Vedanga Jyotisha and saying jyotish not meaning astrology is laughable. Jyotish has meant both astronomy and astrology in India no two thoughts about it. As to astrological content not being present in the next well he need not agonise over it and just look to the allied text Atharva Veda Parishishtha which is the earliest dated document on Indian astrology. The astrology there is of course not natal but electional and electing auspicious astrological time for conducting rituals is essential part of Vedic Religion.
@sudipkumarroy3790Күн бұрын
"Not a single word on astrology in jyotisha texts" Sir is really on weeds or what?? 🤣 Indian Tradition considers Jyotisha to have three skandhas Siddhanta Samhita and Hora. Astrology is dealt in last two skandhas while pure astronomy is in the first. Therefore it is natural that texts like Panchasiddhantika or Yuktibhasha wont have an iota of astrology bcoz its not their purpose.
