One of the best power carving videos I’ve seen , thank you. I prefer just knife carving but have done a lot of power carving. You have opened my eye to possibly.

Thats a nice one there my freind, ive tried carving something similar to that once before. It didn't turn out as nice as yours but was still OK, i messed up on one of the eyes, so i decided to make it look like he may have lost it in a bear attack, like an old scar, then on the backside of the piece, i carved a bear. Wound up painting it and giving it to my dad as a gift since he liked it so much. Happy Carving

Absolutely!!! I admire your work,it inspired me to do something similar. I made some copies, and so did the Indian. I would like to improve the quality, but I can't find the same tool as you have. Tell me where you buy it. Thank you in advance!

Another amazing video bud... what bit do you use for the fine detail like eyes?? Is it a Kurtzall bit as well??
@carvingandsuch3 жыл бұрын
Not Kutzall those are really good to shaping the wood but for details I using diamond bits. Fits into those tight places . Links in the description if you wanna see what I using. Thx
@donngrant89443 жыл бұрын
Would you recommend the Kutzall extreme flame burr for the main shaping?
@carvingandsuch3 жыл бұрын
Not really. If it’s jumps will hurt. Especially when you using harder woods. I think the corse ones are the best.

@@carvingandsuch Thank you very much for your quick response. I’m going to punk down some money right now. Would this be the one that you recommend? Kutzall Original Flame Rotary Burr, 1⁄4" Shaft, Coarse - By the way, you are a skilled craftsmen and your videos are the best. Thanks for your help.
@donngrant89443 жыл бұрын
Disregard that. I’m glad I took a second look. That would’ve been the wrong shank size. Going with this one:Kutzall Original Taper Rotary Burr, 1⁄8" Shaft, Coarse
