For a while now I've been saying I wanted a street glide. The Indian has caught my eye recently. Think I should rent one for a weekend to see how I like it after a couple days.

Very impressive but a totally different type of ride. Hard core Harley riders like the vibration at every stop light. with Indian it is smooth sailing with a little less of the hard core biker feel. So it really depends on what you are looking for. I have been riding for 35 years now and trust me there is not a one size fits all on the market. but for the price, power and style you can not go wrong with any Indian product. Polaris has done an amazing job!

Excellent looking machine. Had mine since October 2016. It's a 2016 Spingfield with the skin from a 2017. Th purchase was a slam dunk when I saw the skin "transplant" colors. Enjoy that beauty and ride safe.

I love those Cheiftains and the color combo is great, I like all your accents (NICE BIKE) you wont be able to touch that other brand outfitted with your accents for the price you get from Indian, not to mention the chrome switch controls that come stock on the Indian. That other brand makes you pay for things that should already be chrome for the absorbent price tag. Indian and Victory is the real # 1

Sorry dude I am not sure...I simply told the dealer everything I wanted and they took it from there. But trust me if you are looking for style and a nice low rubble...Freedom is the way to go. Look them our on KZbin there are tons of performance examples posted.

No worries. I heard the 3in Freedom pipes on a demo Chieftain at the dealership. I was curious if those were 3in as well, its hard to tell when the sound isn't first hand. :)

Got the Antenna from Auto Zone not from Indian website...

Do you recall a part number or make/model of the antenna? I contacted my local Autozone and they said they had no idea what would work and asked if I could provide a part number. I just got my Silver/Black Chieftain this past Saturday and I am ready to start making mods to it.

Hey Dave it's been a while since I purchased the antenna. If your Auto zone is local I would recommend that you stop by and go to Antenna section...it is hard to miss but not specific for bikes. The one I purchase was intended for SUVs and Cars.

great video my brother.. awesome bike! I'm in the market for an Indian Chieftain. I can't ride without a driver's backrest. my question to you is does the drivers backrest push you forward too much even with the setting set furthest back? Someone else in another video said that the drivers backrest on the chieftain push you forward too much. Next week I'm going to the dealer and he's going to put the backrest on for me and I will try it myself but I thought I would just ask you. thanks

Not for me I do not have that problem...at first it takes some getting use to it but I now can not ride without it.

+YOBABYBUBBA I just thought I would let you know I went to the dealer today to check out the backrest. I loved it and purchase the bike. I got the silver smoke color. picking it up tomorrow at noon. I can't wait. I'm also getting the Roadmaster size windshield, I like the most wind protection I can get.

I love the bike. I have had 2 Harley's and I have also demoed a few Cheiftains, Roadmasters and Springfields. I couldn't be more impressed. I see you bought the bike right before they released the new infotainment system....what are your thoughts on that? Keep it on 2 wheels my friend.

I ride with a group most of the time and don't need the additional Navi feature in the new infotainment system. Plus I find anything other then a radio the kind of distractions I don't need going 70 mph down the back roads...just one mans opinion.

Great looking bike, don/t love the color, nor do i like all the black, i would prefer the chrome
