wow!! wonderful combination of grace, smoothness and fluidity with a powerful strong movements..the hand swaying like a snake actually reminds of waves movements and the movement of both shoulders with hands portraying snake movement is mesmerizing.. i respect the hard work and practice the artist has put in to reach this stage of almost perfection..amazing art form and depiction

Beautiful. Rasa is the ultimate goal of any dance performance, the effect which a piece intends to create in the audience. I could feel the Rasa in this piece. The excellent flexibility of the dancer and her movements, the vocal and orchestra support and the choreography have worked in tandem to produce the Rasa. I am rather surprised to see negative reviews for this one.

people only see top view of hinduism a vedic culture without knowing depth of culture an attachment to nature not understanding vedas or upanishads the richness of culture and mock or convert people to raw pale religions no depth spirituality destroying culture this dance this is from sama veda natya shastra sanskrit learned will enjoy from soul it is not just dance to music but depicts strength of expression and art connecting to nature and mimic of nature

lol hope you do know that there are other styles or banis bharatanatyam apart from kalakshetra bani..the dancer is an exponent of the vazhuvoor bani..and there are so many such artistic composition that are included in the dance repertoire..

snake dance songs should be fast or medium but this dance and song is very very slow I will sleep my grand daughter will dance excellent .she is very good in bharathnatyam .better luck next time

S Arunachalam You cant say theres some objective way to a certain style of dance. I mean in my opinion, i think this slow dancing goes well since it gives this trance like feel fitting of a snake.
