The president is the Commander and Chief of the military. There are checks and balances in place to monitor the president's actions. Our aircraft carriers and our submarines are limited only by how much food they can store. Other than that they are very capable war machines. On a side note -- Aircraft Carrier Battle Groups sometime carry out humanitarian missions. Especially after natural disasters... Joke time --- USMC also stands for Uncle Sam's Misguided Children... Our marines are very special people. You two take care!!!!!

One of the best parts of growing up near Pearl Harbor was taking the tours of visiting ships and other equipment...I have been on a few submarines and even on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (same name as the vessel in Star Trek). If my parents had not both been in the USMC my family would never have been able to afford living in Hawaii after my father's 20-years of service. We had access to the bases for tax free groceries, gas, and other consumer goods that were more expensive because of shipping costs. As well, the medical benefits are/were better than any private insurance which was expensive and not available through all employers.

Once the nuclear genie was released in the 1940s Deterrence is the only value for keeping these weapons. If Russia / China were the only countries with nuclear missiles the USSR would have taken what they want. And China would would own whatever country it wanted to invade next.

We've made all this because we're paranoid as hell. There's a reason the Department of Defense has prepared battle plans for multiple different kinds of both alien invasions and zombie outbreaks. It's less of "What will they use it for" and more of a general culture of extreme preparedness. We're Batman. Just as moody and wasteful, but admittedly badass. Is it a good use of resources? No. Will we stop? Also no.

Yeah, our military is unreal. This video doesn’t even list the countless special forces we have; such as the Navy SEALs, Delta Force, Recon Squads, Airborne Divisions, Army Rangers, etc. We even have a special operations unit whose job is Psychological Warfare. Lol yes, we have Psy Ops squads. And their job is to evoke a psychological reaction from others, whether it be propaganda or raining leaflets down on a location with threatening imagery on them to let the enemy know we mean business lol It’s wild. You all should do a video about the Navy SEALs; they’re the most feared and most elite military fighting squads in the entire world. They’re literally the worlds worst nightmare because the enemy never sees them coming.
