This man is not and never has been a Royal Marine. His name is nowhere to be found on previously or currently serving Royal Marines. A Royal Marine would also never wear his beret the way he does.

You are a clown lad. It’s called an inverted image. Something that someone with a very basic intellect would know as soon as they see it. It’s kind of how mirrors work dummy. As for my service, you’d never find any information on that anyways, it’s private information and would be a data breach if it was readily available. Again, basic intelligence would allow understanding. Moron

Where is your facts, and your proof of what you say? Depending on what division you are in the military you may do a job that is top secret or the missions or top secret and therefore you're not allowed to discuss them supposedly ever but at least not sooner than 4 years after you get out . Also, it relates to his beret, military regulations us and Great Britain and other countries on uniform and proper way to wear them may give him nowadays the ability to wear it in a way that he couldn't wear it at the time he's served directly. Those of us who have served in the US Military, where are hats and then once we're out in a different way than we wore them when we were in because we're not wearing a uniform anymore

He told me he always liked to work with servicemen from other nations because they were just "other little boys that liked playing soldier", to quote him. This might sounda bit weird but some things you just don't say in other languages, but if you were to translate it, it would make sense. Back to his story. He said that he always loved the US military and it's soldiers, and he even had (he passed away) some friends in the US. He always told that they where very nice people and he hoped one day to visit the US. He used to say "God bless America" quite often, wich is something you probavly won't hear a lot from outside the US. I want to say the same and thank you and all other veterans for their service. Dont forget that the United States has the most heavily armed civilian population with more small arms in its citizens hands than most NATO countries militaries. Also the U.S. has a huge amount of retired military with a huge amount of military knowledge. Combine this with the large amount of citizens that hunt yearly. Because most states in the U.S. allow concealed carry of handguns many non- military people are at least familiar with small arms. One of my favorite quotes goes like this: "If you ever encounter an unknown armed force, fire a burst over their heads and await a response. If they respond with a volley of accurate, precise rifle fire, they're British. If the response is a shit ton of machine gun fire, they're German. If there is no response for several minutes and your position is then destroyed by an overwhelming and utterly destructive airstrike, they're American." Can't remember the individual who's responsible for this quote but it lives rent free in my head.

Sure...can't stand seeing other Countries taking a shit on the USA...it's like a family member you quibble with and you may say is a bitch, but only YOU can call them a bitch. But when others do it, then you get your back up. That said, where do you get "have more respect for our Country than our own people do?" I can both marvel at America's military might, their economic power...AND be upset with other aspects of leadership or different aspects of the this Country. Our Military might is not the ONLY thing that makes a country. Being a patriot doesn't mean just blindly admiring your Country. If this guy went into America's divisive political parties or some other policies I'll not name now because I don't feel like arguing about it, I'm quite sure he'd have less...positive feelings.

(picture a hypersonic triangular SR-71...) and the US likely just pretends it's researching Hypersonic Missiles, but probably already has them deployed on aircraft. Oh and, the SR-91 is from the early 90s... so if that was technology back then, it's just starting to be "researched". We are respected,envied, and feared by most countries. Except right now maybe with Biden in office. He’d probably launch missiles on us he’s so dumb that he would think he’s in China. 😂

@DaperDerBy Usually, yes “accurate” would describe that well. Collateral damage in warfare today is rarely because they missed what they were aiming at. That doesn’t excuse militaries for picking ambiguous targets with high chances for unintended casualties.
@allanpolk2681
@allanpolk2681 3 жыл бұрын
@DaperDerBy When the slovenly cowards that are targeted, use hospitals and school children as a shield to protect their munitions and despicable leaders from the weapons used against them, then yes, there will unfortunately be collateral death and damage. The blatant disregard of some of our enemies for the lives of their own children, is a perfect example of why their ideology is a cancer to the human race. Their willingness to hide behind Innocent children, preying upon them in hopes that the better conscience of American forces will prevent them from striking them there. That is precisely why there are precision weapons in our arsenal designed to pinpoint the target, and eradicate the bad guys. These weapons are usually deployed when the target is away from civilian innocents, such as when they are on the move in a vehicle in an isolated area.

I actually thought it was “the sleeping dragon” too for a while. Turns out the quote stems from Isoroku Yamamoto in WWII, and he said “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

YESSS!! I watch world war II documentaries all the time and true life war movies because it shows the camaraderie between the United States, UK and Canada and Australia.. The world war II veterans that were still alive around said that there was so much American equipment over in England and every month the USA was sending over $300,000 or more troops because they were piling up preparing for Operation overlord on D-Day..lol This one British man who was in The Royal for said that there were so much heavy equipment machinery and Americans on that island they thought England was going to sink! That's funny. I get tickled when leaves Old Men start talking about those times.. I was watching a documentary about the devil's brigade the other day and it's part one and part two.. good gosh it is awesome!! It is a very very elite or was a very very elite special forces unit that Winston Churchill wanted to have but Great Britain couldn't afford it. So the United States paid for it and the USA and Canadian troops that wanted to be part of this super special forces brigade did so voluntarily. Not everybody made it through the training! They had some guys in the military presently in the USA and Canada doing what these guys were doing in 1943 and 1944 and one of them almost died & four of them went to the hospital.. the youngest guy in the bunch had only been in the army maybe 6 months or so and he dropped out the first week because he couldn't handle the gory hand to hand combat that this brigade was taught to do. He got super emotional about it and he left.. .

I served as a Lt in US Army MP Corps in Afghanistan & Iraq. I remember briefings with some of our allied forces, some Ozzies, some Canadians, but mostly The Royal forces. We also had Christmas dinners with each other. We really appreciate their expertise & knowledge of the terrain in Afghanistan.

I wish that were true! Military Police were overused in Convoy Security escorts. We coordinated most. Mounted & dismounted patrols, used/ worked with Military working K9's in operations, security details for senior officers, detainees, & female MP's were overused to do female combatants searches of homes after males were escorted away. Females searched the person & personal living spaces of female possible or known combatants & or insurgents. What Middle East war did you go too?
