I am really enjoying watching you two! Love your reactions. I have to admit that I have often snuck my chihuahua into restaurants and stores. Not because it was fun, but because I was traveling in my car or I had to take them to or from the vets or groomers. I walked into a fast food joint in Arizona on my way across the US which took me 5 days to do and Arizona is super hot, so I took him into the restaurant and standing in line the guy behind me asked, "Is that a dog in your bag?" I turned around looking very guilty and said it was. He just wanted to see my Chi. The lady at the counter heard him, and I apologized to her, and she said, "It is way too hot in your car for him to wait outside. I ate in the car not in the restaurant, but I noticed that when my dog is in a bag most places don't care (doggy carrier or purse-like thing). The waitresses would just pretend they weren't there. But I couldn't leave him in the car and even pet-friendly hotels don't want you to leave them alone in the rooms and he would bark really bad. I have to tell you, I used to work in customer service, and I would talk to a lot of nasty people and the nasty they were the more wrong they were for some reason. I always loved getting calls from people from India, because even if we had screwed up completely as a company, they were respectful and sweet on the phone (I am sure there are some in every culture that is not), but they would explain the challenge and give me time to either fix it or explain what was going on. I don't know how India has managed to create such a culture.

I live in Arkansas, we barely had any shutdown. The fast food started only drive thru. But we are in the south so we did it way different then most places. Texas had a lot of shutdowns, which is weird since they usually are very “freedom “ focused.

I lived in the desert during the pandemic, most of my contact with people was through Zoom & KZbin, so staying away from the city wasn't that difficult.
