Instead of being defencive or sympathetic about it, there is no need to sensitise it. If any daughter is daughter, the parent should just say - step or adopted bcoz the girl ain't a toddler. Thankfully our daughter know very well that she is mine biological daughter and stepdaughter of Lokesh and he is also stepfather of Damian and Bodhi, but loves them like they are his own. .
