The first thing is that amca mark 2 engine collaboration has not confirmed time 1 engine making take at least 10 years this unrealistic timeline. There no delivery of tejas mk1a fighter then they said tejas mk2 in 2029 and then amca by 2032. our government is not taking seriously and hal giving unrealistic timeline. I promise that amca mk2 will be rollout in 2040 before that it is not possible

It is becoming increasingly clear that we have to increase our focus on the indigenous Kaveri engine for a more sustained future of the self Reliance in terms of aircrafts. From what I know the 5.5 generation AMCA aircraft after mark 2 can be upgraded or redesigned to become a 6th generation since 6th generation aircraft have a primary focus on artificial intelligence ,drone and mothership capacities so the Development of strategically important weapons should be done by India itself and not dependent on other nations and/or foreign companies.

I am perplexed by the potential 250 units order for Tejas Mk2. Tejas Mk1A, has a order backlog of 190 units. So, to roll out 200 units of Mk2 will take minimum 15 years. And at that time, both Mk1 and Mk2 will be sitting ducks for 5th and 6th gen aircrafts and UCAVs of Pak and China, and who knows, even Bangladesh! 😂

Tejas Mk2 would be like Bharat's own F16. AMCA Mk1 would be like our own F22. But performance based on 98kn GE F414 would be shy of true potential of the AmCA. 110Kn dry thrust/130kn afterburning engine though would be on a different level bringing the best out of Tejas Mk2 and AMCA Mk1 5.5 .

Nope. That is the first step. Inviting foreign vendor and ask them in India with indian private will bring ecosystem. No one reinvents things again and wasting money. Once they become familiar, private companies will invest in R&D. You cannot bring capability overnight by putting money.

India is still buying submarines from outside despite manufacturing in India as partners with french naval group. But why would a country provide u a cutting edge technology which it took decades to develop?

@@shivammalikO1 what we do is assembly with critical parts coming from Russia. This means it is useless to develop our own product. Ecosystem means indian companies engaged in manufacturing of cutting edge. This base will help in developing new products. All these times HAL was assembling products from russia. Check L&T which partnered with Hanwa to produce K9 in India. Now they learned enough, they are partnering with DRDO in development of light tank. Same is the case with Tata which is partnering with Airbus to gain the knowledge. Private also showed that they can deliver faster. We have limited resources, we cannot spend multi billion dollars on unknown project when have we are not able to produce lower level products. US can spend 50B for one jet development, we cannot with tiny 5B budget for airforce.

I really don't understand IAF's plan to keep pushing for Tejas Mk1 &2. By the time we will have those most of our adversaries will be flying 5th gen aircrafts and planning to induct 6th gen fighters. Both mk1 and 2 will be irrelevant by that time. Is it me only who thinks like that or others also share the same Outlook.

But IAF dont provide funds for jet development as they are end customer. 4th gen is going to be the mainstay for next 20 years

Nowadays BOEING planes are crashing like anything. Our honorable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modiji travels in one of the Boeings aircrafts. Although it is a different version of 777 but still as a precautionary step if it can be changed to a bigger Airbus version it would be more safer. Just on 29th Jejo travels at Meon at South korea again it was Boeing aircraft and every year we are hearing stories. Just be on a safe side. And for our Prime Minister there should be always 2 aircrafts. Also a lesson for DRDO to please fix this problem of Landing Gears failing while landing or getting jam. In India lot of airlines uses Boeing aircrafts. Don't be in an illusion that Boeing is a big company so they cannot do a mistake. Get written assurance from them the aircrafts in which our Prime Minister travels is safe. Is this a problem due to which 179 people lost their lives. Request to DRDO to fix this problem ASAP regarding this such as a emergency additional tires near the landing gears or additional emergency Special Landing Strip on the runway at extreme left or right side fully illuminated on which the planes can be landed safely even if the Landing gears are not operational. A lesson from Bajaj LML VESPA Hero to big Boeing or Airbus or any aircraft manufacturer where in every scooter there is a STEPNEY or additional tire. Please see. Good luck.

Self reliance is painful thing. It will take years to build capability. Meanwhile enemies will show many capabilities. Just because social media users are in panic, we cannot abandon this program.We should stick to this self reliance. We had 15 days worth of ammunition 10 years back. Now we are 88% self reliant and infact exporting ammunition to other countries. In war, ammunition is very critical. Defenders with plenty of ammunition can hold invaders easily with terrain usually supporting defenders. Same is the case with jet manufacturing. MK2 is nearing prototype completion. We should stick to it. Once it is ready, we can manufacture as many jets as we wants. This will further develop ecosystem. No one is going to abandon 4th gen jets for next 30 years. China showcasing some jets claiming 6th gen made social media panicking. China is master in lies and claim the capability which they dont have. When US and Russia could not control the cost of 5th gen and increase the reliability, chinese claims has to be taken with pinch of salt. Remember China prefers to fight the war with mouth than in field as Sun Tzu mentioned. Only thing our government has to do is push ADA/HAL to stick to the dates. They should not give any new orders till they complete MK2 and AMCA prototype development. Once developed, private has to be brought in and split the order. This will expedite the jet availability

At the 2033 China can be put the J20 the 5 Gen fighter Jets that had produced years ago to retirement and make the J36 6 Gen fighter Jets in full operation and they will produce the latest Gens Aircrafts like the 7 Gen fighter Jets or even the 8 Gen fighter Jets India is still on the 5 Gen aircrafts practices to produce them too late to catch up India must had doing something like joining the UK Italy Japan one 6 Gen fighter aircraft project collaboration for experiences in producing latest aircrafts or they might hired geniuses engineers and scientists in Aeronautical engineering from abroads and hold her talented people from India in this field to her own which had by snatched away by developed countries for highest salaries to buying talents
