Russian soldiers are using handheld walkie-talkie like devices to keep check on drones around. If drone signal is detected device starts alarming soldiers. As drone comes closer alarm frequency increases. Soldiers also have portable jammers. This system is becoming very effective and saving lives and cost for Russia. System also provides information about drone type if it is kamikaze fpv drone or surveillance. I hope India is thinking on this.

If india is the customer it would be a great news for su57 to be made under HAL. Also exactly the same situation has arrived for the eurofighter with no orders as it was once dassault. Propose them to buy whole company of eurofighter. Instead of giving 20 to 25 billion for 114 aircrafts spend 50 to 75 billion to acquire the whole eurofighter production unit to be under government of India and under the guidance of HAL. Just a suggestion. It would cover up all the backlogs plus newer technologies for our engineers and for our amca. Good luck.

It's not India. Indian pilots haven't even entered the cockpit of su35, nor have they tested it. How could they have placed an order so hastily? The first customer is likely to be China. Yesterday, the commander of the Chinese Air Force sat in the cockpit of su35 accompanied by Shoigu. China and Sukhoi have a long-term good relationship. The Chinese Air Force has SU27, SU30, and SU35 produced by this company, and is also authorized to produce J11 and J16. It is not surprising that the Chinese Air Force purchased a small number of SU57.

In coming years or near future whatever research and development is done in UK that unit be under government of India and HAL. Just like the tatas bought Range Rover. Buy it as a whole. Give this opportunity to China and it will not blink once to grab this eurofighter opportunity. Alongwith this the Spain and Germany contribution to eurofighter total rights should be bought. With this not only government of India will have a production unit in india but in UK also. The demand for fighter is approx mk1a 200 mk2 200 tedbf 100 amca1 100 amca2 200. Total approx 800 fighters. Even if bought these production lines will be just mere. Not to forget su57 su 30mki and other numerous aircrafts of Russian origin. Let's bring HAL to altogether different upper level equal to boeing or airbus. In india for 20 to 25 billion they'll be opening just production line with tot but the total rights still they will be acquiring or having. Tejas 1 is a good 4.5 Gen fighter but most of the devloped and developing countries which have capacity to buy and capable of operating huge air force, already have such kind of or atleast similar air craft in their inventory. The issue is the number of people actually paying tax and the amount of social programs. In countries like US and UK where the tax is high and the government has the money to inject in to such high value projects and they spend less on social programmes. However in India, the government has to carefully balance military budget and still fund social programmes so technically money is tight to invest in to high value projects like fighter jets that's the reason the Indian defence always looks for lowest bidder and the turn around time for every project is time consuming

There is a question about the NGAD program and its viability. non of the country have a prototype or official 6th gen program. Even if they started a 6th gen program now, even then it takes another 20 years to complete. Look at f22 program it took full 25 years to complete. 6th gen program is still in paper for all countries.

India should not acquire any su- 57. Buying foreign stealth fighters will damage our AMCA. India has a good number of Su-30 MKI's and ordered Tejas in heavy numbers. Our only competitor is Chinese stealth fighters but we all know that they are not up to the mark. I think we should concentrate more on Tejas mk2 because we have all seen how powerful Tejas mk1 is. We should scrap MRFA and fastrack Tejas mk2 and acquire them in huge number. There is no need to worry for Chinese fighter jets

Practically far from yet to be proven to be 5th generation jet. If we leave f22 aside don't think any fighter jet is even closer to f22 5th generation fighter jet. F35 has inherited some features from f22 and not completely. Russia will present su75 checkmate the strongest 5th generation jet to us next year which will counter any chinese jet. Our airforce rank is also higher than china majiority of chinese jet are old generation whereas we have su30mki rafale tejas 4.5 generation jets

@Worli19 what facts do you what me to cross check ? The fact that we still don't have an engine to put in to our supposedly superior 5.5 gen fighter ( according to Indians only) or the fact that we don't have anything other than 3rd rendering to show for as our 5th gen fighter ? We are having troubles even integrating 4th gen foreign tech into out Tejas fighters so if they have all the tech ready for 5th gen why not put that into a Tejas or su 30 ? We are planning on using f414 for initial prototypes of amca so why hadn't we still made a prototype yet ? F 414 isn't some non production engine like f404 it's an actively used engine if we wanted we could've purchased 3-4 engines offshelf for higher price to test the prototype the fact that we didn't just means that we still don't have a prototype to put those engines in inthe first place
