I already mentioned this before, but there is another potential tie with "Notes". The way Miyu's world in Prisma Illya is dying (with mana drying up and an unidentified lethal substance taking its place) is very similar to how in "Notes" the atmosphere is full of a substance called Gin (or grain ether) that is lethal to old human species (Liners and A-rays were genetically modified to be able to process and use it). 9:40 That art of Ado Edem seems to be referenced in Mysterious Heroine XX's Noble Phantasm in FGO.

Yea. So, I would guess Miyu's world is in the initial stage of destruction and if it continues in that direction the Types will be summoned. Don't know how Illya would even stop that.

Fun fact: V/V shows up at the end of Carnival Phantasm's final episode, making a short cameo outside the Ahnenerbe café along with Angra Mainyu And yes, designwise it is typically accepted that Gun God and V/V are the "prototypes" of Kiritsugu and Irisviel. Similarly, Enjou and Araya from Kara no Kyoukai are the "prototypes" for Shirou Emiya and Kirei Kotomine, respectively. There are several characters in KnK, Notes, Tsukihime and the drafts that inspired Fate/Prototype that seemingly inspired the looks, personalities or story themes of characters from Fate (like how Akiha from Tsukihime inspired Rin's appearance and tsundere-ness, or how Illyasviel was inspired from a combination of V/V's looks and Manaka's personality).

Oh, so that was V/V in the ending episode of Carnival Phantasm. It's so interesting to see the origin of the Fate franchise. I doubt Notes will get an adaptation but it would be so cool if it did.

@@QuincSay honestly, I could see Notes. getting a short OVA made of it, if not a straight up animated remake of it's story being made nowadays simply because it is becoming more and more relevant to modern Fate and Tsukihime than it was ever before. The question is whether it would remain as is or if it would have it's story, plot and characters changed like how Tsukihime R changed many things in it's story.

It has been confirmed by material that Zel didn't solo Crimson Moon (in Fate Worlds at least for sure). Apparently parts of the ClockTower took part to support Zelretch as well. As expected of a Marshall of Clock Tower. It seems that the mage world as a whole got united to deal with Crimson Moon and the Dead Apostles, which could lead to a pretty cool story at one point. Apparently it costed a lot of resources too, to the point the Holy Church used the chance to get ahead in Fate. Which makes sense because it fits exactly timeline wise with the rising of Christianism in the late Roman Empire. Zel and everyone somehow was able to fully defeat Crimson Moon but i dont remember/know how and why but in Fate Worlds its pretty much slowered Superior Dead Apostles advantage & advence on humans/society (thats why we not see Dead Apostles that often plus they are still hiding like that one in Zero or some others). And differently existing Elementals and True Ancestors didnt inherited the influence or the will of Crimson Moon. Zel also avoided being bitten by the Crimson Moon (avoided being Dead Apostle Ancestor or Superior Dead Apostle) in Fate Worlds and become immortal by "other means" along side being Sorcerer of the 2nd Magic.

Nasuverse Age of Man Timeline (General Fate Worlds Timeline) 960 BC: King Solomon's death. The Age of Gods end here. The traces of Mystery and True Ether (5th True Element) were supposed to fade from this point on and become reduced to nothing by the point of AD. The night before AD: The user of the First Magic is Born. 00 AD: The remaining magus from the Age of Gods lay the foundation of the Mage's Association. "Mystery will one day disappear , but let preserve the knowledge as an academia." was their motto(reason to take action). However--- 20 AD: The 5th Imaginary Element "Ether" (The 5th "Fake" Element) is proven. The New World begins. It was decided that Magecraft and Mystery was to be continued in a different form. The other magus from the Age of Gods shut themselves in the Atlas Temple and the Wandering Sea, and although they did not agree to our motto, we preserved our fellowship as mutual followers of the academy of mystery. This, in future, developed into the Mage's Association. 20~100 AD: The headmaster, along with his associates, work diligently in their activities. Thanks to their work, more people began learning magecraft and the energy(morale) from the Age of Gods began to come back. From around this time, Dead Apostles began appearing in the Magus world(society) and they began attacking mages as they saw as an enemy(threat). 300 AD: The night in the forest capital, the Battle at the Millennium Castle. It is said...that a battle between the Crimson Moon and the Wizard Marshall Zelretch took place...

300~500 AD: In the Western European countries of the Great Continent, the Holy Church begins building up its influence(power). The Mage's Association decline. The damage from the fight with the Crimson Moon was too deep. The Winter for magecraft begins. The Magus Capitals that the Mage's Association developed became shut down one by one because of the conflict with the Holy Church. With the Crimson Moon destroyed, Gransurg Blackmore, in despair accepts his own destruction. Even though he raises his own disciples, on than night of the Blue Moon, he is defeated by an Executor who happened to pass by. "I met that person on a night like this. Then a night like this is the time for me to die". 500 AD: The last remaining True Ether(5th True Element) on the British Island disappears. A group of magus set their headquarters in the British Island. This marks the beginning of the "Clock Tower". 600~900 AD: The Spirit Grave, Albion is excavated. The Clock Tower continues to dig into the depth of Britain and gains an insurmountable asset(fortune) for magecraft. The Clock Tower becomes a light of hope to the declining Magus world and a great number of magus and investors gather. 900 AD: Justeaze, the Holy Maiden of the Einzbern is born. The Third Magic that has been told over 1000 years is finally proven. 1000 AD: The prodigy child Barthomeloi arrives at the Clock Tower. The groundwork for the Aristocratic classes of Magus is formed. 1200 AD: The Clock Tower is now the center of the Magus world. The Monarch system is complete. (At this time there were 12 departments with the Faculty of Policies being one of them).

1400 AD: Zepia is inaugurated to the role of Director. To this day, he is continuing that role. 1600 AD: The way of the Faculty of Policies start to be questioned. It is no longer an academic department. From this point on, it became a separate faculty and the 12 department became 11 departments. 1800 AD: The Industrial Revolution of Great Britain. It was a painful blow to the magus world but knowledge and technology becoming more complex is a good thing. It was the most damaging form of attack to the Holy Church, who increased it's influence with its "Singular World View", so we even supported it. At this point there was an internal conflict on whether to accept this industrial revolution. Later this became cause of the divide between the Aristocratic Faction and the Democratic Faction. It was impossible to ignore the new genre of Modern Magecraft Theory and it filled the slot of the empty 12th department. However, although it was added as the 12th department, because modern magecraft was looked down upon, this department does not have a lord assigned to it at this point. 1994 AD: Lord El-Melloi dies in a minor ritual called the Grail War in Japan. 2004 AD: The follow-up 5th Grail War begins. Rumored that the Third Magic was recreated. FGO AGE OF MAN TIMELINE, Parallel World of general FATE World TIMELINE: 1999 Lev creates SHEBA. 2004 ??? First Holy Grail War in Fuyuki. Marisbury Animusphere wins. 2004 - 2010 AD: The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, Finis Chaldea is fully formed by Marisbury Animusphere. CHALDEAS, the functioning replica of the Gaia's soul is created by Marisbury Animusphere. Inhumane FUSION experiments between Spiritron beings (Servants of the Heroic Spirits) and new born humans is conducted by Chaldea. 2012 AD: Marisbury Animusphere dies (passes away). Olga Animusphere takes the mantle of Chaldea Director. 2015 AD: The Grand Order is declared.

Notes. Explanation 02: Witch Swift Umbrella A castle built in the Great Rift. Its name originates from its scaffolding, which looks similar to a large, upside-down, open umbrella. The original form of the Millenium Castle Brunestud from Tsukihime. A prison resembling a castle, with many walls and layers of gates linked with thousands of chains. Even standing up from the throne would require enough power to destroy the entire castle. Additionally, it is said that in order to reach the throne, one must pass through 78 “magic doors” that a normal Ether Liner would be unable to destroy.

The thing about ORT is that he is probably not Type Mercury. In a character material they call him "Ultimate One of Mercury(?)" implying that the information is not correct, Rasputin also says that the Type on South America is from the Oort Cloud. So unless South America is the Types' favorite vacation spot, ORT should be the Type from the Oort Cloud but for whatever reason he gets mistaken as Mercury. We don't know why ORT arrives to Earth earlier, but I guess it implies that Gaia always ends up crying for help. Arcueid is pronounced Arukueido, similar to how you say arcade.

There's no explanation yet for why only earth's moon has a Type and Earth doesn't, but I think it may be that the planetoid that crashed into earth billions of years ago and created the moon, something happened so that earth's ability to create a Type got passed into the moon

Nice reaction. I would want to see more Otakudaikun reactions, that way we can learn about the Nasuverse lore together. About Type Mercury, my guess is that the earth did cry out for help in our world. Type mercury came looooong before all the other types arrived, so maybe the earth cried out, mercury arrived (and is slumbering), which would mean the other types are on their way and are going to arrive here somewhere in the (far?) future. There's also this little bit from the wiki, which could be another option: ORT's identity as Type Mercury is called into question when Character Material calls it the "Ultimate One of Mercury(?)" implying it either is not Mercury's strongest lifeform or is not actually from Mercury at all.

When Gaia first realized that humanity was becoming too strong and independent for it's liking, it messaged Type-MOON for help. This lead to Brunestud's invasion which ended with his climactic fight against Zelretch, Brunestud loses and only the True Ancestors remain as his sole influence in the world. These series of events is typically the point in which Earth's timeline splits between "the worlds where Humanity is supreme" and "the worlds where Humanity isn't supreme", the former world's being the ones that lead to the various Fate timelines and the latter being the ones that lead to the Tsukihime timelines. For a world to have a humanity that is supreme, all of the True Ancestors that Brunestud left behind have to be incapable of resurrecting him, which leads to Arcueid being incapable of being woken up or even created. Since the threat of Type-MOON is completely eradicated, Humanity is considered the supreme faction in the planet, which allows Alaya to become just as integral a part of the Counter Force as Gaia is, which then grants it the ability to access the Throne of Heroes and summon Heroic Spirits into the world. For a world to count as one where humanity ISN'T supreme, the True Ancestors must be capable of creating and Awakening Arcueid Brunestud, the daughter and successor of Brunestud. Since these worlds are still at war with the Ancestors (and through them, Type-MOON himself), humanity is still vying for dominance and so is not considered the supreme species of the world, which means that Alaya is too weak to have access to the Throne of Heroes. Basically, depending on how screwed over the Ancestors are after their war with humanity, you can get a Fate timeline or a Tsukihime timeline. If Type-MOON is permadead then you get a strong Alaya that can summon Servants to protect humanity, but if the Ancestors are still at war with humanity and Arcueid is woken up then Alaya is too weak to summon Servants to help itself. This is the reason why Servants are never seen in Tsukihime worlds (since only Gaia can access the Throne in those worlds and it isn't going to bother summoning human Heroic Spirits that will prioritize humanity over the World) and why Apostle Ancestors are almost never seen in Fate worlds (as there are so few of them alive that they couldn't become a powerful organized group like they do in Tsukihime worlds) Also, most of this info is potentially iffy since the Tsukihime remake is still only halfway done, so while some of this stuff is ironclad lore, other parts can either get retconned or have been retconned already.

Wow, that's crazy. A lot of things are making sense for me now. Another thing I need to ask. Yu Mei Ren from FGO is a true ancestor isn't she? So, she's one of the children of Brunestud who survived, came to be known as Consort Yu, later married Xian Yu and became a Crypter at the end?

@@QuincSay Yu Meiren is in a weird spot, she is an Elemental, which all True Ancestors are, but not all Elementals are True Ancestors born from Type-MOON. Think of the Ancestors as a sub-genre of Elemental that were designed by Brunestud whereas Yu is one from a different sub-genre (Zhenrens) that was instead born purely from Gaia. Both types are Elementals and so share a bunch of characteristics but they also differ in other crucial ways (for example, all Elementals can absorb mana from the surrounding atmosphere or from other living beings by sucking their blood, but whereas Zhenren like Yu can easily subsist off what they absorb from the atmosphere and so blood drinking is almost completely unnecessary for her, Ancestors tend to require to drink the blood of others to live because they can't absorb enough mana from just the surrounding atmosphere) I think the problem FGO has with explaining Yu Meiren's status as an Elemental is that since Urobuchi wrote LB3, he wasn't as familiar with the Elemental/Ancestor lore as the other permanent writers FGO has, so he messed up writing her backstory and they released the chapter without having fixed that error, so now they are forced to tell the correct lore in Interludes and such.

In Tsukihime Worlds Gaia asked fo help and Crimson Moon actually strike a deal with Gaia (which is actually also a second part of Counter Force, first one is of course Alaya) to create Strongest being for Gaia(as she was unable herself like some in comments explain) too. So Gaia reluctantly agreed to let Crimson Moon use his his power to create True Ancestors with her help. It seems Gaia wasn't able to make Ultimate One by itsel and even max what she could only Zenren like Elemental at most(Yu paisen is Gaias daughter basically). Royal True Ancestors like Arc indeed can evoke not only this Castle but other insane powerful Marble Phantsm as in Tsukihime Worlds - Crimson Moon will is sleeping in these Royal TA's cus Crimson Moon wasnt fully defeated there probably. In addition in Tsukihime timeline Type-Moon managed to turn Zel into Dead Apostle Ancestor and pretty much curced the entire Tsukihime timeline into something like a Lostworld, especially by factor of Arc creation/function before his technical defeat to Zel and rest of mages. Church currently having a task to fix the whole True Ancestor factor mess besides dealing with Dead Apostle Ancestors Organization and what comes with them in Tsukihime worlds especially. But in any case its interesting that both Gaia and Type-Moon ending up asleep in different ways. And them waking up would intale catastrophic events (or coming of new Age maybe).
