In Indian households, most of us cook 3 meals a day. Including the younger generation. These traditions are very religiously passed over. Most of us have fond memories of watching our moms cook ❤️.

We are volunteers at our local Gurudwara too!!! My dad helps out in cooking and managing the volunteers in systematic way. I get to help in food distribution. Actually, on festivals we get some real good variety of food too. This one shows the normal daily meal essential in households. Don't worry, younger generation actually consider this as a fun activity where all friends gather and volunteer together.

Younger generation usually take part in moving food and serving it.. sit down sort of work is usually handled by older generation and things which require physical strength is done by younger generation.

You do not have to go to Delhi or Amritsar to experience this. Just go to a local Gurudwara and take part in it. The scale may be smaller, but the atmosphere will be the same. You do not have to be a Sikh, everyone is welcome, no questions asked.

Sikh Temple is known as "GURUDWARA". In GURUDWARA and Hindu Temple they don't serve Non-Vegetarian Food. It is Purely Vegetarian Food.

These Langar (meals) was set up over five hundred years by Guru Nanak. Therefore there's no question it will ever stop. The food is fresh and nutritious,better than five star

Yeah the taste of food made in these temples is heavenly....even if u learn the recipe n do it regularly u can never achieve the taste...there is something magical Abt the place...N let me correct u it's not like only older generation does it I have been a part of this practice since 15 yrs of age so these traditions are passed to younger ppl from their founding yrs...reason why u see old ppl more is things that are less exerting are given to old ppl and things that need more work like serving food or mixing those huge quantities it's done by younger ppl...it's not properly covered in the vdo if u go there and see for urself u can see younger ppl r equally participating and carrying the tradition not just Sikh Faith, Muslim, Hindu, Jain, Christian....Indians may not give expensive properties and heritage to next gen but values and traditions definitely...most of the Indians know how to cook not just women but men and are always ready to serve for any work of God... My mother taught me how to make chapati and tea on small toy like things for my dolls and that's how I started learning cooking...we r assigned tasks during festivals so we know how things are done...we r included in every ritual that is done... So we learn it just by watching it no one has to really teach u anything ❤️❤️ loved ur reaction...I see Dillon getting so emotional during these vdo due to the values that he is literally comparing everything like Indian do...😂😂 He is becoming half Indian watching these vdos...😂😂
