DFOs/DCFs actually don't run a district. There are several divisions of forest in a district. For example there is Wildlife Division, there is social forestry division, territorial division. These are lead by different DFOs/DCFs. But on the other hand, a DM runs the whole district administration. A DM can call upon DFOs/DCFs for meeting, ask them for reports, but vice versa is not seen. Indian Forest Service is a very exciting and hardworking service. But comparing the powers and authorities of IFoS with that of IAS is not justified. P.S. I work in the Forest Department, and have gathered these facts from my own experience

DM is Equivalent to DFO in every legal and constitutional work. And for power - There are still many peoples - MPs. CM, Judges of SC and HC, etc etc.

There will be a total of 6 papers in which paper 1 is GS consisting of History, Polity, economics, geography and science and tech, paper 2 will be English, The next 4 papers will be of optional subjects of Two papers each for two optional subjects

This is wrong DFO never runs district in my district there are 4-5 dfo, and in my town 2 DFO divisional forest officer suggest,SDM has more power and he even check work of DFO ,it's power lies in forest rather on everything,

Dfo DM k equalant hai lekin forest me devision ki definition district se alag hai. Kai jagah ek district me 3 4 DFO ho sakte hai jaha forest jyada ho aur district badi ho, ya fir kahi 2. District mila ka ek DFO ho skta hai , forest ka officer forest area par depend krega ka ki revenue district pe

A Forest Division is not coterminous with a District. At best it could be equated with a sub division with different boundaries. Unnecessary hype being created.

In IFoS you have to manage both people and there are various new departments upcoming, due to which the higher up posts are filled and the juniors get fast promotion. Do not stay under the misconception that IFoS have to deal only with wildlife.
