At 11:40 he said”shuddh (purity/clean) nahi aa raha hai” which means “coach is furious that it weren’t clean cuts, the videographer tried telling but then just accepted saying It’s the Dutchman way if doing. So, the Guru just kept mum and let you do your own”. Your balance was broken. Trick is in the stillness. Cheers.

This is true yes. What I've found is that trainers in India are generally less strict on form and knowledge. Especially in normal gyms. This might be because in the west we have used the internet and books for quite a long time to get a grip on technique. In India people follow the words of the owner of the gym or head trainer.

@@TheFlowingDutchman its not actually not like that but we had two Universities in india namesd ad nalanda and takshshila aand they both were destroyed by the mughal invaders to end the indian culture and they had all the best class knowledge about every thing even foreigners use to come for studies there and from then only those who had paid full attention to their gurus have the correct knowledge

Hey brother, I became interested in mace training recently and your channel played a big part. I wanted to know if I should buy a metal mace like this one of 4 or 6 kgs or should get a traditional concrete one, because as the old mace swinger is saying that he could understand the weight distribution of your mace due to handle itself having substantial weight (which is not the case with the traditional concrete mace, it has much lighter wooden handle). So which one is more effective in your opinion for mace training, swinging in particular?
@8Ivion82 жыл бұрын
In the book 'Hanuman Power' it is stated that the bamboo handle is preferred, because it vibrates slightly with the weight making it necessary to micro-adjust the hand position while swinging. (Additional ask towards anyone, including the questioner:If you have any ebook suggestions about Gada and Gar Nal and Stone Lifting other than this it would be much obliged.)~Physical Activity Nai Bhairavi Prakriti

Matthew Nielsen hey! They’re not, the people in traditional Akhara’s are not really keen on doing anything else with a gada. For them it’s almost a violation to do anything else with it than a 300/10-2. I’m putting out an effort to put these two worlds together. Not only for them, but also for western people who practice with a mace. The history is important. It’s also interesting to note that there aren’t that many pahalwans anymore who practice specifically gada training. It’s a dying art. So it’s also my mission to bring the mace, and therefore the gada, back to the indian people. Mace and Gada are not the same, but they go together perfectly :)
