The main hurdle for tourism is strict adherence to the policy of harsh visa restrictions. Without relaxing restrictions, tourism cannot be promoted. Allowing Indians to visit the corridor is just one-sided tourism, it should be bilateral. Both India & Pakistan should come out of the phobia that relaxing a strict visa policy will increase the security risk. The intrusion of ISI agents, RAW agents, Khalistanis, Non-State actors, etc may be controlled by negotiations & formulation of the best of best policies. This is necessary because of the reason that both are nuclear-powered & nuclear-armed countries. We should not follow the way of Europe & Uncle Sam who were involved in two World wars. Tourism is vital for peace in the Indo-Pak subcontinent.
