Everyday makeup just isn't normalized in India. Most girls want to wear it (not all girls, but most), but people (especially Indian parents) say it's unnecessary or too expensive. Otherwise, most Indian girls are interested in makeup and learning how to apply it. It's just a fun art form. Edit: I'm not talking about women, just teenagers like me. Also makeup doesn't mean full on glam. It can be simple or bold, or any other aesthetic. It's just like choosing what clothes you want to wear for going to the supermarket vs going to a wedding :)
