RSS is mirror image of Gandhi when it comes to caste. We have a Sanghi Dalit president who is completely committed to Virulent Hinduism. I am sure he won't speak for atrocities against Dalits during his full term. This is co-option of Dalits in Hindutva agenda through their personal gratification.

Gandhiji had a very progressive role their...He started Harijan movement for the upliftment of Dalits....& on the other hand Ambedkar was merely stooge in the hands of British divide& rule policy....seperate electorate was a ploy by the British to divide Indian society...& Ambedkar was a party to it...He wanted to divide Hindu society... Gandhiji saved hindu society from being divided...

One panelist said that gandhiji accepted separate electorate for minority like sikh and muslim ...but when these reform were passed,gandhiji influence on congress or india was not considerable...he rejected seperate electorate for dalit bcz it increase the distance between hindu religion rather to reduce or integrate ...but reservation of seat in constituency which offered in place of seperate electorate by gandhiji was good effort to bring dalit representation
