As an Indian who grew up abroad, I have been trying to reconnect with my roots and learn more about our rich history. This man, and a few others, have really made me realize how little I know about my history the country I now live in. I decided to raise my son here in India and he will be taught this history. They aren't teaching it in schools and so as I learn, I am also teaching him that we actually do come from a great and advanced culture. Third world country my ass... A few post independence generations who gained access to English medium education, and with education systems diluting their exposure to their mother tongues, are not comfortable reading books in their own mother tongues! We suffer from a "loss of inheritance ", alienated from our civilizational roots, ignorant of our own cultures . Sad, but glad to see coming generations are reconnecting to our ancestry and there's still hope for our traditional knowledge and wisdom to survive and prosper. 🙏

@Ayush Pandey it's not just history textbooks but also lifestyles. We moved away from close social networks to urban nuclear families too busy to spend time on socializing. We gave up our festivals under pressure from the western education and livelihood systems. We were denied holidays or leave on festive days, had exams during festivals, there was no time to get to know or practice traditional sociocultural and religious activities. We were weaned away from our traditions, taught they were superstitions, unproductive waste of time and to mock at some practices. It's a very long list of the new post independence setup that forced us to be ashamed of our true inheritance.

He has done a great job of exposing anti-hindu, anti-India agenda of western academia, and warning Indian govt not to fall in the trap of western technology companies (which they sadly paid no attention to) . But I sometimes get impatient with his slow American style of presentation. Don't know whether Sai J Deepak has plagiarized his ideas, but I am able to connect more with SJD presentations. SJD lives in India and is in close touch with the ground realities and what is practicable here. Anyway, it's the message that counts!
