Ready to harass the driver of the Vehicle in which the foreigners are traveling with the sole purpose of swindling money out of them in the hope the foreigners will give in and part with so called "'Fines" that they will share. Lovely kind people , one of my daughters best friend all through school was Indian,girl she and her family are so lovely , when I was ill with cancer and couldn’t get out of bed my daughters friends mom brought us food to our house because I wasn’t well enough to cook my hubby was working and my daughter and son (twins ) then 14 were busy looking after me and keeping the house clean washing ect and going to school, I couldn’t thank their family enough very kind .love Indian people x

Iv lived in both India and the UK. I often find that people in the UK will always say how busy they are and therefore canr help as much as they would like. However I think people in India are even busier as after all they carry heavy items on their heads. Yet the people in India can always give u time and love

I stayed in UK for a year as a student. I was a bit scared as it was my first time going outside India. I stayed in Bath and the people at the uni and in the city were absolutely warm and amazing. There are good and bad people everywhere, even in India you will find not so good ppl in many places. I travelled a bit around UK, and the only bad or I would say not good experience was when I was visiting Poole harbour. One racist comment and it made me scared and sad as I was trying to help that person. We just have to keep in mind that the world is filled with good people.

Oh Jane the people are TRULY hospitable. I'm form England and currently traveling in India. At the moment I'm slow traveling in order to gain cultural depth. Part of my slow travel experience is to live with a local family. I was sleeping in this morning and they came to check on me as I was not awake at my usual time. It is so lovely to hear the stories of the help and kindness that you have received from the people of India. A long time ago, my husband and I drove an old car from the UK to Australia (with a few boat journeys) and we received kindness and hospitality in many places, not just India, So many people were willing to stop, interrupt their journeys, spend their time, feed us, with no expectation of remuneration or anything other than thanks. Stand out moments in Iran, (re welding the radiator) Pakistan (re wiring the distributor, helping replace a leaf spring) Nepal (recovery from driving into a flooded sewer) India (hitchhike to garage for parts) Malaysia (re-braising the wishbone) all for free. I have never forgotten those kind people.

All countries you mentioned are in the INDIAN SUBCONTINENT (except maybe Malaysia, but Indian culture spans till ASEAN). Culturally its one country only.

On another point as we were passing from Pakistan to India, and were talking to the border officers in each country, they were saying how strange it was they were guarding in opposing countries when in fact they had all been at Sandhurst together. (In case you don't know Sandhurst is the top military officer training establishment in the UK)
