30:15 Kailasa Temple at Ellora Caves in Maharashtra India is considered greatest architecture in history of mankind, because the way it was built seems unbelievable for even today’s time. The temple was built at least 1300 years ago. No stone or nothing was added they carved a mammoth Granite rock/mountain with intricate details. The Kailasa Temple is notable for its vertical excavation-carvers started at the top of the original rock and excavated downward. At least 400000 tonnes of stones have been removed in the process. About 7000 workers and their future generations worked for 135 years. One small mistake and you have to rebuild the whole temple because it's carved into the rock without adding anything, that too up to down. It has secret underground tunnels believed to be leading to underground city which is even more mysterious.

There are some who connect to what India really is. They immediately feel at home here in India. You are one of them. It is a land of the spirit. The reason our culture, which we call Sanatana Dharma has survived to this day even after 1000 years of relentless attacks on it, is that the spiritual power is embedded into the land itself. Its mountains, rivers, temples. This power sustains us. And those whose hearts are open to the spirit can feel it when they come here. Hope you have a great journey here and you get all the blessings our land has to give.

This should be in world's wonder list. Hope you show all the caves, statues in them, the single stone pillar, wonder how they did it by removing hundreds of thousands of tons of rock with hammers and chisels from the monolithic single mountain stone. There is a church in lalibella in Ethiopia made the same way, but this temple is exquisitely carved, with many caves, each cave has works of art sculptures, stone pillar and lot more made from the mountain.

The reason why they were stopping you for parking is because: 1. You were going towards a village. Basically rural areas don't have much jobs. So a village like this is thriving on tourism. Or rather people who are coming for this pilgrimage. 2. They try to capitalise on that in order to make some money and survive. 3. This section of people who stopped you are trying to survive by giving parking. That way they'll earn some money and survive in a place like that. 4. Most people from such areas usually go to bigger cities to earn a livelihood.
