i support all the effort to save Ganga. What I don’t understand is that he said “wash off the pesticides”. Where is the wash done? Will burning actually release the chemical residuals faster and more directly to human? I am not criticizing or anything, just ask questions.

The problem is that the flowers are not polluting the rivers ,this ritual is not bad ,the pesticides we use to grow these flowers is the main problem for pollution and dirt in the rivers. We should grow things naturally rather using chemical items

I’m happy to see what he is trying to do But we need to understand the main reason of Ganga pollution is not flowers but Western Industrial junk and harmful chemicals not only polluting the water but air also. Human waste all the drains are derived into the Ganga river.

India started urbanization and industrialization in the 1990s before then India was very clean, we are going through an industrial revolution, (just like Europe, they were polluted then too) and after we become a developed country the pollution will decline. (our government has made several reforms for that)

I like to see the Ganges River cleaned up. Start with 1 kilometer at a time and clean the river using giant machines that scope up settlements.
