In india being in the military is very hard.... You need to get through a written examination, then a physical and medical examination and then an interview....all this and it doesn't guarantee entry, you need at least 4 years of training as an officer..... This makes anyone being in the military immense respect in society..... Getting the uniform is hard here, it is EARNED.....

Things are very cheap here. . Plus being a government job all your medical, housing and some Finances are completely free..... Plus it's all about that RESPECT

Budget now is over 72 billion dollars ,iaf is indian airforce . Voluntary means joined voluntary unlike Israel or China where u have to do stipulated time in security forces compulsory. We not only launch our own satellites but foreign ones too including us ,Israel amongst , and 104 satellites were launched in single mission which is a world record fun fact 96 of them were American.

If you check the Indian Geographical Location and High rise Himalayan Mountains: Horses are use in Valley region as it is not possible for any vehicle or others to make it. Camels plays a major role in Desert Area of Thar Desert at Western Region of India where guarding at Front is difficult using Vehicle or Armour. I think you must know the Geological Demographic of every indian region. Northern Parts = Himalayan Mountains covered with snow 365 days Northern Plateau = Himalayan Valleys and steep Mountain slopes. Western Desert Region = Desert covered with almost 240,000 sq.kms. Western Kutch Region = Area Covered with 45,000 sq.kms. Western Coastal Region, Eastern Coastal Region, Central Plateau Region, Southern Plateau Region, North Eastern, Sunderban Region and so on. So every region differ which no other country has so. Like if you take Canada the major biomes are the tundra, boreal forest, grassland, and temperate deciduous forest which is only 5 major but here it more and more....

I think they told about the NCC cadets. Which is a Voluntary force. Or they told about UN peace keeping force. Because after Bangladesh we have the most voluntary army in UN peace keeping mission.

The ENTRY is purely voluntary. There is no conscription or an uniform compulsory military service in India. Once in, you get PAID. You dont have to work for free. There is an excellent remuneration package. Common grocery is subsidized as are house hold appliances and motor cycles or cars. The Army Medical Corps provides health care. They even have their own medical school in Pune, India. Armed Forces Medical College. In addition all over the country there are boarding schools run on lines of military academies called Sainik ( Army in Hindi) Schools where after a tough entrance exam, you can get a completely free education, Many of the students opt to become professional life long army officers. They have to go through training at National Defence Academy after selection through a tough entrance examination, To many so called martial groups ( as classified by the British) they are communities in India who traditionally serve in the Army like the Sikhs. To them it is a CALLING more than a career. I think that is enough for now.:):)
